  1. I think the other aspect to consider…GMLs. Keep it simple for them by staying consistent.
  2. I’m a visual guy so I had a hard time following what you meant there @Blackwatch (side note thats not me in the CRL, I just snapped the pics…that kit is a Chef’s Props kit btw). Anyways, I do agree…no slam on Walt as a person BUT i never was a fan of the helmet and felt it didnt resemble screen used (let alone our low-res computer graphic references for Storm Commandos…u see what I did there 😂 ) very well. To me it’s as plain as day when you just look at these two pics (the WTF pic pulled from Mickey’s DL announcement over at Pathfinders) the WTF mold is very far off from what we know to be a scout helmet. ROTJ WTF Storm Commando Game Reference - Here it is a low quality image so tough to see BUT you can see the visor does not sit as low to lens as the WTF Im not even gonna reference the card game images because those really are other costume variations of the Storm Commando…the Captain, Special Agent or Scout being the closest tour current Shadow Scout costume…but those are also hand drawn images so shape variation is expected and can be interpreted to a degree. In this case in particular though, scout parts are available in multiple areas outside of the US let alone within and I dont think we can leverage that as a reason to keep it. I would be more in favor avoiding builder confusion and in a decision such as this, align. I dont equate this with differing measurements on straps. Thats my thoughts anyways.
  3. Getting there. Yea the big thing w anything 3D printed is going to be those print lines. They cannot be visible at all. Chest they are definitely visible still. Painting…just check around, some of these spots look like you may have drip that needs to be sanded. Then again, just triple check your print lines are not visible. March…totally do-able! You got this!
  4. Cool…when u finish it up, just remember no red line and pint rivet black…small differences from the standard scout
  5. @Jsilvius Only thing I notice is the pill shaped hole. References Ive seen (and my own greeblie) have an off-centered “cap” that has a rounded dome. My explanation is pretty bad lol…see pic.
  6. Me personally I would go for the darkest tint and thickest possible just to be certain On a side note, if you are ordering there, they also sell decals if you dont have them and might help consolidate some shipping. If you’re ordering decals just be sure that the sheen you order will contrast the armor sheen you will have. IE Gloss armor…get matte decals. Matte/Satin armor…get gloss decals (not sure if he lists gloss but you can email and request them).
  7. This spot sells some though Im sure you could find cheaper on Amazon. https://trooperbay.com/product-category/lenses-eyewear/
  8. I was going to say…the upper portion of the bund is basically a tube/wrap (rectangle pattern) that goes around your torso. If you are shooting for Level 2 standards, you just need to pay attention to the velcro size u use on the back. Then add the rib stitching. And thats about it. The cod pattern @furiosa provided in her thread and build of that to avoid the crotch bunching finishes off the piece with some velcro to attach to the main torso portion.
  9. Boots…picked up my vinyl back then from Joann Fabrics. Sourced the actual boot from KMart but they dont exist anymore do they lol? WalMart used to have some decent ones on the cheap as well.
  10. For sure…I guess what Im not understanding is why are requests even being made and why are they being considered. It was settled twice…and that’s assuming @nanotek didnt have to deal with it also. At what point does the LMO team say “Ok guys its been settled give it a rest” and follow what all other detachments are supposed to do when something like this has been settled and redirect your potential builders to the correct spot? Can it be requested that the LMO team address this w DLs? Every time someone makes a request doesnt mean it should go to a review if it’s already been reviewed and settled…and in this case multiple times. EDIT TL;DR: When the request was made why didnt the LMO team simply say “No this has been a decided issue” instead of going thru a review (again)?
  11. Thanks Michael. I don’t understand the rehash when it was decided in 2019 (pre-dominantly by the BHG DL stating they didnt want everything just because it had a t-visor) and then re-decided in 2020 a 2nd time when she asked about the MW designation and Nathan decided (again) to continue the work here. Not to start a feud, but at that point the leadership should have been redirecting builders here…and if they didnt that’s not good. Revisiting for a third time seems excessive. and the fact it was entertained has me scratching my head.
  12. Was my conversation where the BHG DL stated they did not want it shared w the LMOs when it was originally directed here?
  13. I dont own one myself but assuming what’s said above is correct, it’s possible…the same way the Black Series TK helmet can pass for R1 style w all the necessary mods. If you’re shooting for specialist…just glancing at online pics, it looks like you might need to dremel out ear holes (cant tell if theyre open or not) as well as figure out how to swap the helmet bolts out.
  14. Yea I def see em in the pack. Not as noticeable in the helmet but yea I suppose can still see some. My thought…if youre not fully happy with it…just bite the bullet and fix it. That’s my take after going thru the process on Cav (which youre familiar with)…theres some things I want to go back n do better (like the entire paint job) which is going to be a pain. Long story short…work it till you’re absolutely happy with it and no longer second guessing IMO.
