  1. Awesome, thanks for the clarification Randy. I think I will build straight for specialist.
  2. Hey Guys and Gals, I am about to embark on a TX Shadow Scout here in Melbourne, Australia. I have a few different builds on the go, so I am going to start with the soft parts on my TX Shadow Scout first. Fortunately, I can draw patterns and sew, so that will help along the way. Upon looking at the TX Shadow Scout CRL: https://databank.501...TX_shadow_scout it clearly indicates that the vest is listed under "Optional Accessories"; is this a CRL error? Upon reviewing the CRL on these forums: http://forum.501stsp...t-requirements/ it states that we do have to have a vest. It seems odd to not have a vest and the TB's do. Any feedback pertaining to this would be awesome. Thanks guys
  3. Hi Steve, Great idea ! I think I will remove the velcro and replace with snap plates and web strapping.
  4. My helmet came assembled, but I am going to make some modifications. 1. I am going to replace the eyes lenses with mirrored lenses; 2. Repaint the frown in a high coloured silver; 3. Repaint the Vocoder in the same silver as the frown; 4. Replace the blue tube striping with matt black tube striping ( I think the contrast will look great ); 5. Take the decals off the traps and painting matt black, again for contrast; 6. Paint the ears a metallic grey; and 7. Replace the neck seal with an ' S ' seal, for Spec Ops clearance.
  5. Hi Guys & Gals, Well it's about time I started a build thread for my TX. My name is Adam and live in sunny Melbourne, Australia. I have actually had my TX amour for about a year (sitting in a box) having no idea how to assemble it. Primarily, because I have not seen a Stormtrooper in person. So, I started wrangling with my 501st Squad and attended some armour workshops. I bought my armour from Chris Gardiner in the United Kingdom, and really love the kit. The armour is really firm, and solid all around. I had seen some of the Anovos TK Armour at armour parties and was quite surprised how thin the armour was. So without any further chatter, here is my armour.
  6. Hi Guys & Gals, Just a quick question in regards to "Silver" on the helmet. I am going to place mirrored lenses into my helmet, and would like to paint the teeth (frown) & vocoder silver. My question is: What shade of silver ? Can it be a high sheen, chrome look ? Or does it have to be a matt silver ? For some odd reason, I thought the tube stripes could be silver as well, but just re-read the CRL and have to be black. Welcome your feedback. Regards, Adam " All Hail the Empire "
  7. Very cool Toddo, what made you go for an R5 Unit ? Sent from my R7plusf using Tapatalk
  8. Good Evening fellow Spec Op Troopers, I would like to throw a question into the arena. We all know that major character's had astromechs, including the Emperor ( R2-Q5) - which I am currently building. My question is, is there any 'Spec Ops Astromechs" ? Any information to assist our Spec Ops Team would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my R7plusf using Tapatalk
