  1. From what I've seen, looks like any changes will be minor. I know we spotted a slot on the back armor of the Inferno troopers, but the guy I'm getting my armor from had already seen that. He's got a good eye for those details. Took forever to get a look at the left side of the flight suit, but we know there's only a red stripe on the right side now. That detail came out back around Gamescom, I think. It looks like all the major details are nailed. The biggest question mark I think people have right now are the height of the boots. Sometimes they look like normal jackboots, sometimes they look like officer boots with the top strap from the jackboots. Then again, that even varies on people in real life depending on the length of their limbs. That's the problem with video games not using ACTUAL, real world items. Wouldn't surprise me if they actual vary through the game just because of animation or drawing issues. It LOOKS like Iden's might be knee high the whole time. It also looks like Iden's suit is more form fitting than the guy's as well. But then looking at the cut scene in the Beta, the top part of the flight suit folds and crumples just like a ripstop suit would rather than some other fabric. I think it's going to take a lot of wiggle room to make it work because it's likely going to change from scene to scene. I'm still trying to figure out how the chestbox is going to go OVER Gideon's bandolier strap. It's there in some shot and not in others, so it apparently is supposed to. But, again, video game vs real life, they can do freaky things like that. That's why I'm thinking of going with a cast rubber version instead of an ABS version. And magnets are the way to go as far as attaching the chestbox. That way if you want it, you can have it, and some days you can just leave it off.
  2. I'm going with Gideon since he was my favorite in the book. Plus he's a badass pilot, so I have to. So far I've already got the gloves from Imperial Boots and level 3 jack boots from Imperial Boots. I've tried a couple of bandolier tests, but neither seem quite right. The Shadowtrooper knee ammo belt looks a little small. The Shadowtrooper ammo belt has one extra ammo slot that needs to come off, and it may still be a bit big. I've got a helmet and armor coming, and my flight suit should be here in a couple of weeks. Boots: Gloves: Knee ammo belt: Waist ammo belt
  3. I played a ton. Other than the trailer, nothing new on Inferno Squad, though. The multi-player is insanely addictive, though. MUCH better than Battlefront.
  4. Also looks like if that's Gideon to the right, no TD on his belt. Makes sense since he's just wearing a black officer belt anyway. I'm working on the Gideon version myself. If anyone wants a list of parts, this is what I've gotten so far: Helmet and armor (R1 style) Radu Plucinsky Chestbox (my ANH TIE already had the red square. Go me.) Flight Suit Crowprops (embroidered patches from Crowprops, PVC patches from Endor Finders) Boots Imperial Boots Gloves Imperial Boots Bandolier - this has been tricky. I've got two Shadowtrooper ammo belts (Walt's Trooper Factory) to put together with either canvas or elastic, but I have to cut it down to 5 ammo pouches. I've also got a Shadowtrooper knee ammo belt (ATA). It's got 5 ammo pockets, but it looks too small going across the chest. Radu has said he's going to be doing custom ones in rubber as well. Might go with that since it'll fit under the chestbox better. We still haven't seen how the hoses connect to the helmets yet, too. Hoping to have everything in hand and ready to go by 11/17. The helmet and the armor are the only question marks right now. The flight suit will be on its way by the end of this week or next week. Everything else is already in my hands.
  5. Also looks like Gideon's sash only has 5 ammo pockets instead of six. Maybe it's a flattened thigh ammo belt instead of the waist belt? Also looks like it's on the front and the back.
  6. For the vision slit, has anyone thought of making speaker mesh or something similar an option just to help improve ventilation? I know the WIP CRL says smokey gray. Keep in the dark enough to obscure the wearer's eyes, and I THINK I remember reading somewhere the ones on set had a mesh as well. I know with my Kylo speaker mesh works great, and you can't see through it unless your eyes are right there, which really only the person wearing it gets that vantage point. This has even less roomful light to get in than Kylo
  7. Ken, I'll probably use what I've been using for my FO TIE pilot, Rustloeum Pro Gloss, just white instead of black. Then use the same for my FO TK. Long time, no build update. Not much movement....until today. So, here we go. First, got these in from Imperial Boots a while back: And today, I got this Also have a flamethrower on order. Guess I need to get started.
  8. Fine grit sandpaper, wet sanding and a fresh coat of paint should fix that right up. I just cleaned all the Easy Off off of my helmet to get rid of the last little bit of releasing agent left. I've got a SGB First Order TIE helmet coming in this week, too.
  9. Well, got my first piece in the mail the other day, so I should probably get started. Helmet is from Skygunbros
  10. Also, the Star Wars Trading Card game has a decent pic of the backpack.
  11. As requested, here's some pics of the Flametrooper at Launch Bay at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Using my kid for scale. He's about 4'11".
  12. I'm headed back to Hollywood Studios this week. There's a Flametrooper in Launch Bay I'm gonna try to get some close up pictures of.
