Getting this one approved will probably be a bit hard because of the lack of consistency, but I'm not saying that it can't be done. I'd check out the GG bust and the WEG references. The lower body is going to be the main issue at this point.

Just take the cap with you to the hardware store and see what it fits over, it's usually a 2-2.5" pipe. -iz

Yep. Avoid it. As you troop you will get natural weathering though, so you won't look too new for too long.

Hmm... Chop up a helmet and that could be done. Anyway, basic requirements for the Det is for the armor's owners to want to join the Detachment and for the Det to feel that the armor would be a good match. We've always specialized in combat troopers, so I'm not sure about the match. However, I won't turn a costume away either. Too much good stuff comes out of costumes in detachments. They're more likely to get CRLs done and have more members pursuing and sharing build threads. At the moment I can't think of any Det that would match up better with anyway. -iz

More dremel tools? What kinda tools are you looking for? Really all you need is a drill bit set (If you don't already have a drill with bits separately), Sanding drums, and cutting discs for plastic. It's a pretty short list of items you actually use. -iz

You can trim the thigh plates behind the knee, as it was seen that way on film. I personally discourage it, just because of my thoughts on how it should look but you should build our armor to your taste. I prefer trimming the top of the thigh a bit and raising them so you can bend your leg enough. Just remember that you will never have awesome flexibility. Your movements will (and should) always be hindered a bit from the armor. -iz

Leave the velcro on the back of the shin. Some troopers actually put velcro on the boot and shin to keep it in place on those bass amsterdams. As far as the thigh goes, It should at the minimum hit just above the top of the knee, and can go as far down as covering most of the knee. Depends on the level of accuracy you want vs. your comfort. -iz

I WANT THAT HELMET! If you're talking WOC as in Wizards of the Coast, it won't really fly. We don't have a 360 for that version. That's why the WEG was the version Tach was working on. -iz

Yes, movement is going on, unfortunately with it happening in members' spare time and there does have to be discussion and drafts to word it properly to avoid confusion. It will take a while. However, if you build according to the references you have I will back you with the LMO 100%. Plus if you show your progress along the way we can give suggestions. There's no reason to halt your build. -iz

Detailing may be black or dark grey, but the helmet must mach the armor (black).

Basically swap your shins to the other legs, then fix the strip on the back so it's on the correct side. -iz

I was digging through my garage the other day and I think I ran across a couple visors that I hadn't cut into yet. If you'd like I can make sure they're not scratched, then cut and send you a scout visor. -iz

I'd avoid that "bit" of gold for now. On the picture, it's only 2x7 pixels wide and doesn't follow the edge of the pack any further. My guess it that it's supposed to be some sort of gold reflection off the armor, though it could be the cap to the mortar tube. Until we get a higher resolution version of the picture, we may just want to wait on it. -iz
