Ah yea ribbing. The same kind of ribbing we can see on the current CRL main picture. I don't know anyone making them and I don't know much about the ribbing technique but I know I've made mines with layering technique.. when you look at the 3d model the layering is quite obvious, even if it's difficult to make it indeed so.. You'll need patience and time to test several options I guess Myself I need to upgrade this part, the glue I've used was quite bad actually, not torsion-proof at all making leather layers to peel off.. (Glue because obviously 0 sewing is visible -deal with it poor costume maker-)

Every inferno helmets are supposed to be the exact same model, these tiny CRL differences between detachment is not something to worry about (different teams, different work..) The weathering is indeed supposed to be very lightly done if it has some, In Game the weathering is somewhere between none and quite subtle It makes sense for Inferno squad to get some light paint abrasion here and there but as they're supposed to do sneaky missions & a perfect clean job, they will definitely not have much visible scratches ?

Thanks for adding some sources. A link to these "kamikaze" helmet ? Concerning the flightsuit Jim is indeed the "only" (well I don't really know, maybe some others are making it too) option for ready to wear and accurate fligthsuit

Hello ! I thought it would be a nice idea to create this list of parts providers here on this forum so it can be easier for everyone among Spec Ops detachment so.. here it is ! I've based it after my personnal "list" .. adding some extra options sometime Helmet - Arakyel / Chris Denis (contact : FB ) -or- Jim Tripon (contact : FB) Inferno decals - On Etsy : https://www.etsy.com...sque-conversion - And you can ask him the CORRECT size wich is 2.15" / 55mm (in my opinion, not approved yet and not in the CRL (yet?)) Lenses - http://opleprops.com...hp?items_id=225 - didn't buy yet but it looks damn good ! Helmet connectors - I heard Tiogar Ag Fiach on FB makes metal connectors.. Not testes myself but it does interest me Flight suit - Jim Tripon Inferno Patch - https://www.stitchme...nferno-squadron -or- https://www.endorfin...ia-25-pvc-patch (reminder : most accurate is Embroidered) Compad - On JRS forum you can find good ones made by Targ, but, you better contact him via FB also, I think he stopped to answer on the forum for some reasons I don't remember exactly : https://www.facebook...orxPangalactic/ Gloves - Giovanni Rodriguez (contact : FB) Armor - Jim Tripon Tactical Vest - Amazon or any other site selling these (look for Flyye law enforcement chest rig) MP-40 Ammo pouch - Ebay (reminder : most accurate is canvas) Officer Belt - You can go see on the IOC forum or check this facebook page : Belting Imperial "Over Belt" / "Scout belt" - Jim Tripon will provide the main parts needed, but you will need to find and make your own "fixation" system AS WELL AS FITTING IT TO YOU.. Explore builds topics here or think to it calmly ! Thermal Detonator - Jim Tripon (his version is the CORRECT ->> SMALLER size so definitely go for Jim) Holster - You can find plenty on Etsy ! just type in "e11 holster" into search bar and you'll have a large choice Boots - Giovanni Rodriguez (He is definitely the most accurate concerning Inferno gloves and boots) Balaclava - Underarmour ones are nice, you can find them on Amazon Chest Box - Jim Tripon (kit) -or- RS Props (kit OR already assembled) ----------------------- There are specific greeblies to add/replace on the chest box, you can contact Matt Nelson on FB, he makes 3d printed greeblies for the chest box and Also for the Helmet Hoses - I don't have an exact "where" for this but maybe ask RS Props if they can sell them to you or.. Any pvc tubes you find on internet ? ROTJ E-11 Blaster - CfO (Cast From Original) on FB, he make kits, just have to assemble and do a nice paint work.. The only one I found offering ROTJ E11 so that's it DLT-19X - I might have see a 3d printed one on Etsy.. Else, you can go for the option " HD MG-34 resin copy" on https://www.procoprint3d.com/ ID-10 seeker droid - I don't know about that but you'll find it among JRS : Inferno Squad fb group I guess or elsewhere on the internet Code cylinders - Gian Filippo Zamboni on FB, it's from Italy Face - Well, hm, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can edit it to add info about this or that PS : I would have been glad to post my 3d files of accurate ammo vest greeblies but I just can't do it. Several people had a toxic behaviour during the developpement of CRLs and it would be painful for me to give away a personnal work into which I invested a lot of time to people who never helped to anything but only looked for competition. I know they are few and that innocents shouldn't have to pay for it but that's it, I'm sorry. But anyway, here is the full 3d file of Del Meeko : http://www.mediafire.com/file/ivn21eimndbnxa2/del_act1_01_mesh.obj You can open it and use it with a soft called Meshmixer. With in depth research on the internet if you're not used to it, you will be able to isolate buckles and put them on the correct size. You will then be able to upload it to 3d printing service and this will be done.

Hello ! DLT 19 -> https://www.procoprint3d.com/ , it's from Belgium.. and it was pretty expensive, like 500$ My helmet is from Arakyel / Chris Denis - If you want to take it from him, you have to expect several little modifications if you want something more accurate. But in my opinion it was clearly worth it.

Inferno Squad Special Forces Trooper CRL
MahXPrime replied to Darth Emphatic's topic in Inferno Squad Del Meeko
An adaptive wording is a good idea. Inferno Squad seems to be "made" for adaptive CRL anyway It won't change my mind to see 1 second of Iden's neck and hairs about the real need to wear a balaclava with the helmet.. In my opinion we're not talking about 1 second of canon stuff, but 1 second of deliberately chosen easy option to make a nice and smart render in a trailer (would be confusing to see a magic balaclava appearing as soon as she puts her helmet on in the trailer context, but yet, seeing her putting her balaclava on BEFORE the helmet would "break" the "show" of the trailer so yea, balaclava gone !..) Anyway I hope a kind of agreement will be found soon about it xD -
Inferno Squad Special Forces Trooper CRL
MahXPrime replied to Darth Emphatic's topic in Inferno Squad Del Meeko
Well I would say yes when the helmet is on as it's way better (kinda ugly to see some skin and hairs breaking the "harmony" of the uniform by adding a Real contrast) and that from what I know and observed in game, you'll never see a back shot of the helmet with skin or hairs appearing, as I said, the balaclava is always automatically "there" thanks to virtual magic Mandatory is fine I would say. I find it correct and fair enough to ask for an approval WITH a balaclava as we never see any of Inferno characters wearing their helmet Without balaclava.. And it's not like balaclava was one of the hardest part to get xD I definitely support CRL asking for accuracy, even if it's a little detail (some people around there must know that ? ) -

MahXPrime replied to Darth Emphatic's topic in Inferno Squad Del Meeko
Exactly, with the game's "logic", as soon as you put your helmet on, the balaclava is automatically worn... When you take the helmet off, WELL YOU BECOME A FACE CHARACTER ! *magic* xD So yea, it does explain why it's under optional stuff -
Hello ! Here's an update on the Ammo Vest. Red arrows are the things I cut out Took my time to cut sewn parts.. And at the end I had something like this with my leather strips around : Today I've arrived to this result : I'm quite happy with this I checked with my armor and strips seem to be aligned correctly I now just have to finish that by adding the last leather strips and it will be done at last ..........!

Inferno Squad Special Forces Trooper CRL
MahXPrime replied to Darth Emphatic's topic in Inferno Squad Del Meeko
Hello ! I would like to submit something new concerning Del Meeko CRL. I don't know if edits are possible or not.. as usual and since the beginning, only enlightened suggestions What I will talk about is concerning the helmet. At first : - Decals : They are smaller than 2,75" - 70 mm. The decals I ended to use are 2.15" - 55mm. And the only thing I have to say about it is : the pics just below don't need quite much comments actually 2.75" 2.15" Second thing : - Teeth / mouth color : Well, again, it's about looking at IG pics in depth.. And after looking like a thousand times at these pics I'm now just thinking the teeth are the same dark grey as the mow hawk with a "same" color screen mesh in between So, if edits are possible, maybe juste adding these "upgrades" as level 2 stuff I don't know ? Thanks a lot for your attention ! -
Thanks a lot !!! :D Yea I did, I will check my kill count at first, a good thing to start with I checked also the "specialist" programs and I have to say If it would exist for Del Meeko I would go for it too Meanwhile, definitely have to finish this ammo vest !! (and other tiny stuff !)
-
Hello ! Well I'm a TX at last !!! Been approved last week-end and just found out today so I'm sharing it with you A good post to say also I didn't give up in any way my planned "finishing" accuracy work on my Del uniform. Ammo Vest is almost done (yea it's taking weeks and months now but I'm doing the best I can.. Got a life too ) and so.. Almost ready for final full body shot Hope to go back here very soon with some interesting pics ! Wanted to add also, I might have a couple of stuff to submit in the CRL thread such as helmet "mouth" color And helmet inferno & imperial decals size.. Here it is ! See you !
-
Hello there ! After a nice trooping this last week-end with an almost completed uniform & several good pics showing an already satisfying render, 2 things : 1- Approval is in the process, should be soon & finally a TX ! Took way too much time with this as I was ready since a pretty long moment now.. 2- Ammo Vest upgrade is really not far from completion So, yea, very last straight lines... Cut all what I needed and I now only need to assemble everything. When I'll be done with it I still have several minor details to fix though: - helmet : central teeth cut and rectified, now need to fill tiny empty space - need to improve weathering on the armor so we don't think it's an "error" or an "accident" - Need to improve belt system to make the scout belt lined up with the officer belt all the way See you for next post !
-
Just saw that ! Thanks a looott !! :D And yes will continue to provide pics haha !
-
Thankkkks :3 ! Yea I'm really really proud of this shot and grateful to the photographer who took it !
-
Thanks a lot Sir !! Yes it is, shorter trident and other "differences" between R1 and OT I don't say it's the perfect accurate sculpt but I did what was needed ^^
-
I won't be making them for sure but I may share my files, still need to see if it fits correctly Anyway ! Still didn't replace my Ammo Vest webbing but I got a pic I wanted to share : Been parading this last week-end with a lot of friends Well, I SSSSwear I'll end my accuracy upgrades SOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNN.............. xD.............
-
Thankksss a lot !!! Yay keeping it coming hehe ! Yesterday I also replaced the helmet stickers with much more scaled one : So remember I had this : Now I got this : Difficult to get the perfect same camera angle to make a truly objective comp but I think you can see enough by yourself here (Therefore, I think I'm pointing out a possible future change or add to the CRL as it says 2.75" for decals when 2.20" is apparently more accurate, worth posting it in CRL dev topic ?)
-
Hellow ! So after getting my 68mm diameter / 2mm thickness glass disk, I was able to put it inside the big part of the scope. Result : #happy + happy coz the "depth" of the glass disk inside the scope is accurate as you can see :
-
HELLOW THERE ! As you know I planned to change the Ammo Vest webbing and replace it with accurate leather strapping. For that I needed also accurate greeblies / triglides. I've been working on BFII 3D files and isolated the greeblies that I needed and scaled them to what IRL dimensions would be to make them printable : And here we are now : left = 1st solution I thought I'd use / right = **slightly** more **accurate** and **scaled** solution. Got to admit the triglides could have been scaled like A BIT more but well, as it might also be an optical illusion I leave myself a margin of error. So yea, the Ammo Vest accurate strapping construction shall now begin
-
Well, did a quick fitting test yesterday, mainly for the 5 boxes belt. Won't post full body yet as pictures quality isn't really good (did it really fast and background is pretty messy ^^) but here are some In Game screens vs. my uniform pics : Not saying it's all perfect 1) Still some work / adjustments to do : ammo vest webbing replacement, thigh box strapping adjustment, smaller emblems on the helmet, need to finish sewing the small side pocket on ammo vest, painting details on compad, grey teeth on helmet.. ETC 2) Hard to get a full accurate helmet when no one is making them full accurate 3) As I said earlier, special shaped boxes on the scout belt would have needed extra-sculpting work. Decided to leave it like that for several reasons. BUT ! I think it will be a close enough version of what we can call screen-accurate.
-
Sorry for the flood but I forgot to add : Thigh box with leather strips is naturally ready to mount on the belt system Talking about that thigh box, it's coming from Studio creation, I just cut it horizontally as it was too wide, filled original "holes" that were meant for the webbing and drilled my own "holes" matching the In Game screen references. Then, painted it the same gloss black as everything else so there is no "black differences" *belt paint is curing...*

It's definitely comiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg..........! ^^ Posting very fresh updates so you can see how / why I've been busy. I think this pic will give you a pretty nice recap : A total of 6 cut (3 left + right symetrically) that made the belt shortened of 12 cm. (actually 13 cm, forgot to mention that I cut 0.5 cm from the left and right edges of the belt) Why I did that ? ----------> Fitting + Accuracy. The belt was just too large. The BOXES were too large actually !!! I've naturally compared with Ingame Screens and I can only say that what I did is matching and totally makes sense. Now, as you can see on the next pic, the fitting is just correct !! I'm quitte happy with all that hard work because now it's definitely accurate. I'm not saying it's perfect as I know the special shaped boxes would have needed extra-sculpting work but I think now it just does the job..Can't wait to wear it and to make final adjustments ! Paint is OBVIOUSLY in progress, I should be able to wear it -->> DEFINITELY SOON <<--- THANKKKS FORR YOURR PATTIEENNCCEE AND SUPPPOORRTTT :D PS : For reference, this is how the belt was BEFORE modification

Update ! Here is the DLT : Weathering / resculpted scope + red stripe.. here we go ! I also ordered a small glass disk (68 mm diameter / 2mm thick) to "close" the scope on the red stripe side & make it all more realistic Still working on the belt ! Finally had to cut more. So now I'm back to sanding etc.. should apply final coats of paint very soon Will also rework a little my com-pad, I spotted a few paint details I've apparently missed !
