  1. Looking sharp! I do have to same that I'm digging the Shadow Stormtroopers. It's definitely on my list of costumes to build. Best of luck on your submission!
  2. Great costume choice Matthew. My Death Trooper has definitely become one of my favourite costumes to troop in. Great advise mentioned above and doing your research before jumping into purchasing everything is always the best way to go. I also try to find my footwear and soft parts first for any costume that I'm building... or at least know where I'm getting them from, as they can sometimes be the most difficult to obtain.
  3. Builds coming along nicely. I also had to cut down my thighs and shins a few times to make them comfortable when walking. Noted nine was ABS and not fibreglass.
  4. That sucks that the forearm impellers broke. I replaced mine with aluminum ones from Phoenixprops. Looks like they're on sale right now. https://www.phoenixprops.net/products/death-trooper-arm-impellers-rockets
  5. Well I got the news today the both versions of my Death Trooper were approved. I can't wait to troop in them!!
  6. I also submitted for the death trooper version 2. I forgot to post the photo on my WIP thread.
  7. It’s starting to look that way. Lol. I totally forgot about that… I’ll put it on the top of the list of things to work on.
  8. Thanks Daniel. I think this is going to be one of my favourite kits to wear.
  9. Are those all the parts? It might be good to put all the pair parts together to see what parts are missing. From what I see it looks like you’re missing the kidney plate and thermal detonator. I’m not sure if all the parts for the biceps are there as well as the other forearm… The other thing is that it appears to be their old chest and back which will need to be updated. I had the same issue with my kit (waited too long to build it). They sell a complete chest/back combo with all of the parts. Also, get them to add a pair of cover strips.
  10. The day has finally arrived, my DT is now completed and photos submitted. I actually "finished" it last week, but after putting it all on, I had to resize some parts to make fit better. I just want to thank everyone who helped me get my kit to this point, and hopefully one day I will have the opportunity to troop with everyone.
  11. Well back at it again, but every time I compare my kit to the reference photos I find something that's missing or off. Well, time to fabricate things and fit it. Things are coming together and I'm hoping to be done soon!! Big shoutout to Wook's WIP which has help me navigate through my build. I was lucky to find aerosol paint that matches the black ABS so I don't have to paint the entire armour to match. Who would have known that black is not always black. LOL. I finished sewing all of my soft parts and tailored it to fit comfortably. (I'll post photos as soon as I can, but I do have to admit that I have not been taking as much... that and I'm having issues with embedding photos with Imgur)
  12. I thought that I had the E-11D files, but I don't. Thanks for the suggestions Chris, I'll see which one works with the kit once I get the 3D print files.
  13. Does anyone know the make or model of the laser pointer that was used in the E-11D? Or what other options have other DT's used for the laser pointer?
  14. Wow... my last update was October 04, 2020! Now that things are starting to get to normal I can concentrate on finishing my build. I ordered the updated parts to correspond with the changes with the CRL. I have fabric being shipped and hopefully I will be able to start sewing the under suit. My goal is to have it completed by September. Fingers crossed!
