I have the complete Death Trooper finished, I just have to go in and body work and paint the parts. Here is the helmet. I lost a few of the in progress pictures, so there are gaps. A rough layout of the mask parts. And we jump to this, I had the parts painted as separate pieces, got part of it glued together and after a mishap and I damaged the shell's paint, I had to paint it partially assembled. (My cheap paint stand is a box with 2 two liter bottles up into the helmet) Here it is on some of the other finished pieces. I ended up pulling off the mask and just painted it, then went in with a brush and fix the gun metal color, which sucked because I sprayed it on over the slots originally. Here is is complete Here is the insides, The padding isn't going to work, it doesn't hold it up high enough on my head and it rests uncomfortably on my nose, so I have to pick up a hard had suspension gear and put that on the inside. I put in speaker grill mesh over the slots. Since I'm 3d printing this and I wanted to make my own voice changer, It's not the encrypted sounds, because I actually want to talk and people understand me, but very distorted. Once I put it in and if the volume is loud enough I'll keep it in and post a video of it and see what you think. I still have to get the bottom liner thing too. Looking at pictures of it, it looks like some kind of automotive J channel part.

I had a CR-10 that died a few months back and I finally got it working.(After replacing everything including the MB, I ended up wiring the heater and thermister directly to the MB and it works) On to the build, I printed XYZ cubes and benchy and it printed great, but tall objects it started to under extrude the higher up the print went and this print was terrible. So I fiberglassed the back and Bondo it. After sanding it down and another layer of primer I did a second round of glazing putty. I sanded it and primered it again It just needs one more round of spot fixes, but is pretty close for color. I have also printed a DLT19X and started to glaze putty my print lines. I also printed all the small parts to an E11D and once a CR-10 opens up I'll get the barrels printed. I figured out the CR-10 tall print problem. I changed out the filament and it's fine. Same brand, but I finally got my black again, so I'm printing the lower back. I have a CR-10s too, but it's been printing a helmet for the past few days, and as of this post it looks like it will be done later tonight.

Here are the magazines. For metal, I like the color that comes from the Rustoleum High Heat, but I saw a cheap flat black at Home Depot I wanted to try. I prepped and primered the parts It's a little too flat, but the vent tubes look good.

Here are new prints using the new files. Had the filament run out on this, I wanted to print in one piece I'm printing the back armor piece in three sections. If I did it in 1 piece it would take an extra roll of filament just in supports and I would rather use that in printing actual parts.

Instead of going through and trying to find accurate files, I've got a Tom Campbell suit and will start on it later and then I will have accurate parts to show

Yeah. I had printed most before seeing the reference pictures. I'm going to go through and print the accurate stuff, then fix the easy stuff like the forarms and then go from there on the rest

Lost post of stuff that I have finished. Here are the belt pouches. When I printed them I wasn't sure how they looked on the suit and these won't work. There is a long overhang on them for some reason. I'm going to cut them off first and see if I can salvage them, if not I'll have to reprint. They are hard to see, but it's the top of the pouch, which is laying on the floor. This is the only body armor I've done so far. Cod and rear. And the right arm. The bicep is fine, but I have to redo the forearm, I was going to use a dremel the cut a portion off that will allow the wrist to fit through, but have rethought the idea and I'm going to reprint it in two pieces.

Hello. I've set out to 3d print a Death Trooper. I got the kit from Geoffro on CGtrader and have printed many of the accessories and the helmet twice. I have a fat head and the original size was just too tight, almost couldn't get it off! Any thoughts on his kit? I haven't found any comments on these parts. My concerns are some of the soft parts 3d printed like the ammo pouches. I quess it will come done to my painting! His canvas belt pouches are wrong, I also have the E11d printed and primered and the Se-14r finished. I'm using a CR-10s, I have a CR-10 that is dead and 2 monoprice selects. I 3d printed an R2 last year and I'm most of the way through a BB-9, but for some stupid reason I keep adding on projects, My user name is the same at Astromech.net if you want to check out my build there, it is R2-Q5. I also picked up the components to make a voice modulator kit, so once I feel like soldiering it together and if it has the right effect, I'll post progress on that too. My computer is rendering right now and is going slow. Once it's free I can edit all the pictures I've taken and I will start uploading them.
