  1. Why not just have the light up part optional like the lvl2 of the TIE pilot stating it cannot be opperational. "Red and blue buttons may light up but preference for accuracy is no lighting" or something.
  2. Here are all the bits laid out: And finally the pics youve all been waiting for:
  3. I appreciate the kind response kevin, most other people would have misconstrued it, got offended and told me to get bent. I've followed your work for years (big fan) and don't doubt your integrity but it's very cool to hear about some of that other stuff. Hope to follow a similar path. It looks like the flexible urethane bricks are what's giving the straps a different colour as it appears they are cast as off white. Thanks for sharing these, I'll have to update my forearms.
  4. No disrespect Kevin but I feel unless a claim can be substantiated with evidence so we can all discuss it I don't think it's fair to be put on the table. Just sets precedent for anyone to come in and say "oh yeah I know a guy and he said this". Not that I don't believe you but I think there's some sort of middle ground we can meet at to ensure we're getting as close to what's visible on screen. Maybe we can drop the cotton webbing but keep the colour note as it's very clear that it's a different colour than the armour. Maybe a level 2 requirement? Keen to know your thoughts.
  5. Just curious what is the source of this info. The screenshots do not show enough detail to confirm the weave but the strap itself is clearly a different colour to the white of the armour. In my experience a black wash on polyethelene/nylon isn't going to give a uniform "brown" saturation unless it's the colour grading. Just want to know how you came to the conclusion.
  6. Id add the strap being tan/beige in colour too and maybe the natural cotton style webbing rather than PP style.
  7. Thanks for looking these over, Ive since corrected the angle to further match some reference I found with the R1TK
  8. Maybe word it as no LOWER than where the pant inseams meet? That way different heights can be accommodated a lot easier.
  9. No issues thus far with the chest or back. I think its a bit verbose as saying matches accurate shape and design makes some preceeding text redundant but Im only going off CRLs Ive helped develop in other detachments and not really sure what the style is on SpecOps stuff so forgive my ignorance. I was going back over some older stuff from before I saw the thread, the jacket being mid-thigh length seems too long. At most it falls to crotch height as mid thigh is where the kama seems to drape to in my opinion. I think the wording would clash with the images of the model going by this image. One note I had on the trapezoidal box is that the stepped area is painted silver to match the disk. The sheen does not seem to match the white of the rest of the detailing on this panel. The sabatons also apear to be 4 distinct carapace plates. There is a distinct seam just infront of where the shin and top of the foot meet. This is visible in this image. Also @Blackwatch any input on if there will be leeway on the undersuit at all, as the detailed areas are covered, for basic or has this already been finalised? Thanks
  10. Sorry I'm late to the party. I came here as I was originally under the impression it was an officer tunic as the length and the collar sort of gave it away. There wasn't enough contrast in the still in my reference to see any pockets and such so that's where I based my assumption. Going by the bts pics though we can see its the Aldani shirt. I agree with the sentiment though of having the pockets level 2. They are covered and not visible in any frames of the show from what I can see. I am personally not a fan of verbose crls (where it's unnecessary) that give gmls more opportunities to push people back. In my humble opinion I do believe the points should be seperate to what's seen and what was "behind the scenes". Similar to the boba fett scuba harness situation. If people can make/source basic tunics at a more affordable rate as to not exclude them I'm all for it, and those who want to make it exactly can go the extra mile to have the pockets. I'll try and participate in the discussion a little more moving forward as I missed this while designing the armour. Thanks
  11. Hi Guys, Ive spent the past few weeks designing the moulds for the ISB. Theyre also available as files however Ive converted these parts into Vac forming moulds. Ill be posting progress here. First are the renders. If there is anything that catches your eye that should be changed please let me know. Ive done my best to extrapolate some stuff from blurry screen caps from Andor as well as get other info from similar parts like the mud trooper from other media. CC welcome. If anyone wants the files they can be found HERE.
