Here's what a successful armor prep day looks like!
TK-1422 replied to TK-1422's topic in Imperial Army Trooper - Andor
Here's day 2. Not fully assembled and strapped yet, but it's looking great! Mask, goggle pad, and straps are 3d printed in TPU. The rest is ABS. -
Spec Ops Det Founder here. I'm looking for the STL file for the black telemetry unit on the helmet for a build for a squad mate. The files I bought don't have it. If you have one, could you please email just that STL to kchristley@gmail.com Kev

I want the black jetpack bad. No money yet but it's cool! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/259168153533869358/?l=t -
Great work on the pack! I love it!

Fantastic work! Can't wait to see the first cast!

Wishing you nothing but luck with the weight loss. God knows I could lose 20 lbs.

Kevin's hard work looks awesome! Can't wait to see your final build!
-
Been following you since the beginning and I just pray you get this worked out some day.
-
Wishing you luck. I'm in the PPS as well and am always willing to lend a hand to any trooper in need!

Personally, I like dark lenses vs mirrored ones. Looks a little more sinister. But no matter what you choose, as long as you follow the CRL, you should be approvable!

Very nice detailed paint job on the helmet. I've been dreaming of doing one of these someday... -
If you're in Colorado, we have an Open Cockpit troop at the Wings over the Rockies Air Museum in Lowry (Denver) this Saturday. If interested, LMK. I'm in the Springs, so if you need a ride, I can get us all there.

Nice start and nice bike in the pics! I personally miss my GSX-R. Keep posting your progress - Looks like a lot of fun! Gotta love a box of unassembled armor!

I'll see if I can get a sheet of acrylic the right shade to make proper lenses. I can do 'em in smoke or green, but not red (yet).

lets make the chrome trooper official

As Founder, I respectfully disagree. EU Troopers belong here - That's our domain - Home of the EU Troopers. We lost a few suits to the FISD, but this was by agreement that we'd both work them. -

Looks awesome so far - you did a really good job on the helmet! Kudos. I'm really stoked that you're getting it there and can't wait to see it finished. That would be an awesome thing to see. -
Congrats on the approval!

I've always wanted to see a Sith Trooper build - great job thus far on the modelling! I hope this project makes it to real life!

You can pick up sheets of tint at WalMart - you might have to look for the activation spray, but some tints just use water to activate the gentle adhesive on the back of the tint. Just wash the lenses in warm water with a little bit of dishsoap then dry well. Just follow the instructions on the box of tint material and you should be good to go. Just watch out for air bubbles, the curse of tinters everywhere.

A very nice gallery of pics you have there! Very well done.
