  1. Excellent! The only place the draft CRL indicates a color is the start of the helmet section and the color of the boots. This will make it easy to change the reference from white to red. Maybe both color options can be defined in the final CRL? We are using a standard RAL color code; RAL3002 Carmine red. For the boots I'd suggest using the section out of the current CRL for the Sith Trooper; Boots/Boot Armor This component has additional pics showing an (oblique view of the boot) Boots: "FO" style boot finished in a gloss or semi-gloss red that closely resembles the armor. Sole is black rubber with no visible heel. No visible buckles or laces. Boot Armor: Finished in a high gloss deep red that matches the colors of the entire costume. Fixed to the top of the boot and sits under the spats. Divided into 3 sections that have the following details: The front panel is of equal width to and lines up with the front section of the shin. The top front section has a number of recessed lines running vertically as shown. The outer section has diagonal lines running parallel to the edge of the armor as shown. The inner panel is smooth/flat and has no recessed lines. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The boot color and gloss shall match the armor. Top front section of the armor has approx. 10 recessed lines. Outer section of the armor has at least 14 visible recessed lines. Rectangular section on the toe and the heel of the boot that is knurled. Stitching at the top of the sole runs the entire diameter of the boot. There is a seam down both sides of the front that swoops out to the side of the foot. There is a vertical zipper on the inside that spans the height of the boot.
  2. Here's an image from the Star Wars Fandom page. Note the tops of the boots.
  3. Hey Ryan & Chris, the build of my red Sith Jet Trooper kit is moving along with the builder. He's actually started some of the paint work. For the gloves, he's suggesting the Rogue One Trooper gloves from Endor Finders. Rogue One Trooper Gloves — Endor Finders Also, the pre-CRL appears to be for the white version. Is this going to be a problem with my build in red? The only thing I see different between the two versions is the red kit has an armor piece on the top of the boots similar to the Sith Trooper CRL.
  4. Okay, that will be my goal! I have sent my builder the last revision of the CRL posted in this thread. He has built many other suits to CRL specifications so he should be all good with this project. Thanks, Greg
  5. Hello all in this tread. I have a full commissioned build starting for the red Sith Jet Trooper and just ran across this thread from 2020. I've passed all of this information along to my builder. He is using the Rise of Skywalker Jet Trooper Full Armor 3D print model from CG Trader. I assume this proposed CRL has not been approved yet as it does not show up in the 501st costume reference library. Has anyone done this suit yet? Thanks, Greg 42727
  6. Was thinking of Denis recently. I bought his red Sith Jet Trooper helmet out of his personal collection. His web site domain appears to have been sold. It's now some kind of gaming site out of India! So sad what happened to him and his family. Wish we knew if he's still around somewhere.
  7. Any updates on this project? I'm waiting for someone to start making the armor & jetpack build. I have a beautiful helmet from Denis at Armory Ship Props in Moscow but he has disappeared since May 2022. He was getting ready to start my armor, but Putin changed all that. I also have my boots, custom made for me and both blasters. As stated, waiting for someone to start building the armor kit.
  8. Greetings nanotek Good to meet you. I am a total newbie when it comes to Star Trek cosplay. I think it’s kind of funny of the hundreds of costumes in the Star Trek universe, I picked the one that has no costume guidelines in the 501st Legion. ? I look forward to observing the process of establishing the CRL. I presently cosplay in a Iron Man MK47 suit and a MK1 War Machine Punisher suit. I’ve been a closet Trekkie for many years so this Sith Jet Trooper suit will be my coming out of the closet project. ?
  9. I've just joined the ranks of the 501st Legion. I am starting the build of a Sith Jet Trooper outfit and this costume does not show up in the 501st Legion Costuming Reference Guide. I have my helmet. It's very similar to the Sith Trooper costume with a different helmet, front & back armor and jet pack. Any guidance would be appreciated for a newbie.
