  1. Oh detachment costume gurus... Please grace me with your infinite skill, wisdom, and keen eyes. 😁 Before I commit to the final painting, I would appreciate some input on what I have so far, and the last batch of questions I had above. I figure it makes more sense to make sure everything is trimmed right before I paint. I'm going flat black.
  2. @DoggyDocFor some reason, I was having some issues last night. I got it to work now.
  3. I’m finally getting to putting everything together. Just a couple questions. Is the tube too short on the thermal detonator? From what you can see, can you tell if the shoulder bells are too long? Do I need to trim more off the bottom of the drop boxes?
  4. Anyone heard of Guardian Props on Etsy? Looks decent, but I'm wondering if it's too good to be true. Shadow Scout Trooper Cosplay Costume | Custom Star Wars Replica Flight Suit With Flak Vest, Cummerbund & Pouches | Legion Approved - Etsy
  5. You know what?? I was thinking of the biker ROTJ biker scout. I didn’t realize that part didn’t carry over. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  6. How flush do I need to get the tank against the back piece? I’m nervous to take too much more off. I think I will just be trying for basic approval, as I don’t think the strap will work very well with what I have.
  7. Just got my kit and I’m so stoked to get going. It’s mostly trimmed but I think I want to sand the edges to even them out a little more. I have a little work on the helmet, as it was already assembled. The visor cut out is a little lopsided so I’ll try to fix that too. I haven’t seen many belts that are not one piece, and that come separated. Is this something that can still be approved? I’m sure I will have lots of questions through this process, so thanks in advance. 😆
  8. Good to know! I think I’ll probably fill the gap just for my own sanity.
  9. I just got my kit in the mail. It is partially trimmed and the helmet was roughly put together. The faceplate and visor look like they were attached a little too far forward, leaving a biting a gap. There is also a gap and a little bit of warpage there the dome is attached. I realize I will have to bondo the back seam, but is the rest salvageable for approval?
