  1. yep, you also have to cut away some stitched parts of the straps in the cutting locations, but there are leather pastes and stuff you can use to fill/cover those. Biggest issue is cutting down the parts of the straps taht are tied into the zipper and/sole stitching as much as possible since I'm not sure you can completely remove them without affecting the other stitching on the boot.
  2. OK so assuming my coveralls from herotekX fit, the only thing I'm missing at this point for approval is boots! However every link/thread on here talking about them is YEARS out of date, so practically any boots they list are either out of production or at best around in limited quantity/sizes and because of that I was having a REALLY hard time finding any boots that fit the criteria AND ME! But after some searching and a bit of back and forth running a couple different boots past my garrison GML, he did find one pair online from JCPenny that he said would work WITH A LITTLE MODIFICATION! The Frye and Co. Mens Orson Flat Heel Motorcycle Boots My GML recommended that these would work provided the ridiculous buckle/strapping AND the top loop was cut away as cleanly as possible. He even marked out where/what to cut for me, so I'm gonna pass those images along on here so hopefully this will help anyone else like me who is trying to put an IAT together at present.
  3. Are there any makers/vendors that sell it?
  4. Slowly building up my IAT costume, just got my coveralls order in with HerotecX, so now I need to find the harness. Best I can find online for an H harness is something like this Would that work or would I need someone to make it JUST like the one in the CRL? For people who have done IAT's, how strict have your GML's been on the equipment you've used for yours?
  5. I was wondering what was going on with herotecX, I've been in contact with them for like the past 2 months trying to find some coveralls, but their responses were very spotty/inconsistent! I've had zero luck finding any from other sources that are anything close to the WW officer hat color (since I already have an officer uniform). So I guess I'm SOL til 2025 then.
  6. could you please provide a link or something? I can't find anything and the flighstuit/coveralls search is turning into the biggest PITA to get right!
  7. Just starting to piece together an imperial trooper and this was is turning out to be very useful/informative since it doesn't seem like anyone else has done anything like this on here since you posted yours 4 years ago! thank you EDIT: I will definitely try to post updated sources while building mine tho
  8. So I heard a good flightsuit/coverall to get for the imperial army trooper were US army mechanic coveralls. And there are a bunch of vintage pairs on ebay however they all look to be button down (with 2 or 3 buttons/snaps down the middle) where even the ones with small buttons are someone obvious. Just wondering if these would still work, since the coveralls in the CRL do not have buttons but I don't see any other options at the moment (at least for my size). I'm hoping to either try to hide the buttons or worst case scenario remove them and switch it to hooks or velcro.
  9. do you have a link to their website? Google isn't coming up with anything for Herotek
  10. So I'm a current 501st member and (at least for the moment) casually interested on eventually doing an imperial trooper outfit. I'm just curious if the olive green flight suit is specially made/sourced from somewhere. I already looked up wampa wear but they seem to have every color BUT olive green. And I know that a normal green flight suit probably isn't going to be the correct color. So if anyone has any trusted vendors for it they can suggest I would really appreciate it!
