  1. gonna try my best to log everything in order. im slowly working more and more on the kit during the weekends as its my only availability right now. ive been sanding and filling this helmet the entire time. got the last round of sanding and hit it with black paint. some areas are needing to be fixed but that is completely okay. once i have all the pieces i need to be black i will hit everything with 2k gloss along with the help of a local star garrison friend. Jim notified me last night my undersuit was ready to be shipped so i paid off the rest and it is now on its way. very excited to get it done Up next. we finally, got the 850 kit in. now some things to address. i was unaware they were gonna trim some of it as a favor. at first glance i was very confused until they reached out a couple days later. not all of the pieces are PLA printed, it is all in fact resin, which means i would have to fully paint the entire armor set to match. the backplate they did do the hard part for me so i now have to clean it up entirely and fix a corner. i was missing a back side wing so i am being sent extras as we speak. the thigh connector parts were looking a little rough with the mold so i kind of left it alone for now until i work on it more. looking at it all was a bit overwhelming but yeah, i worked with what i got. Sunday was the 501st armor party. the host was great for giving advice on how to cut and trim excess materials. it took about almost 4 hours to cut everything as much as we can. next we're gonna have to clean up the rest we can with belt sander to get it all fine and trimmed and then we can glue everything together for assembly.
  2. I figured I try to get some biters. What is yalls helmet setup on the inside? Currently looking for fans, a battery and some padding. Asking around so I can get some ideas of when I fully paint my helmet.
  3. I figured I check here cuz I’ve been following your build with my 850 kit. Can you show me your thigh armor cuz I’m trying to figure out the little thigh connectors at the bottom to cut mine out and glue them
  4. The blaster for death troopers is actually an E11-D. It’s a different build than the standard e11 the storm troopers have. not all of the DT is just regular black. The CRL has a paint guide and it’s all listed as gloss black with metallic black TS-40 and flat black on the helmet with weathered silver. The rest of the armor is gloss black
  5. What brand of gloss black are you using. I plan on using 2k clear on my helmet since I have 2 cans and seeing that I have to paint my armor entire now.
  6. After emailing 850 and having to put my foot down, i finally got the shipping notice that it’s on the way. Hopefully it’ll be here next time in time for the 501st armor party I’m attending
  7. 14 weeks later and nothing yet on my armor from 850. I’ve been told twice of 3 times already that the production will start soon or quote on quote next week. Other 850 users how long did it actually take to receive your armor. In any case I might have to issue for a refund and go for another source
  8. Typing from my phone so no pics yet. I got my helmet through a 3d printing service and had it all printed in resin. Everything is sanded and smooth, I have to wet sand the helmet again to get rid of filler pooling and spray black on everything then I can get to work on 2k clear coat. I decided to order my blasters through imperial arms. It’s a premium version with a steel rod. still waiting on 850s armor and it raised some concerns to be I like to list -first off the back plate the backplate they changed to where it’s 2 separate parts. The base panel is all ABS while the big box itself is made of resin. I wonder why they went this direction instead of vac forming the entire thing. This means more work to sand and glue the entire box down and fill in the gap which will make it heavier - second is the thigh armor. The 2 rubber ribbed inserts are now an abs plastic instead of rubber to hold it together. It’s a weird move they went with so my alternative is to order rubber mats like Tenaz did in his build that’s pretty it with the armor from 850
  9. Total he’ll ask for a 40 percent down payment to get you in the run. He sends you a pdf file over everything and you’ll see the price there
  10. Yes he does accept PayPal. It’ll cost almost 400 plus shipping and you’ll pay the rest with shipping after he finishes it
  11. Hi. I recently ordered mine from him and yes you will have to ask him on Facebook. In a PDF it’s labeled but yo can put down a 40% down payment and you’ll be in the queue. You’ll save money for it too.
  12. Officially ordered Jim’s undersuit. Now we play the waiting game
  13. back on again. still awaiting on armor i get too impatient sometimes lol. unfortunate new as my printers are down after printing my mcm E11D in PETG and i decided to switch up the helmet to mcm designs. i sent the files off to get printed in resin so hopefully in the next two weeks my helmet should be at my doorstep. it was gonna be easier to finish and paint and put together and i have my paints on the way as well. i might buy a fully finished SE14R just deciding who to pick it up from. other news i have my belt, pouches, gloves, holster, even a metal buckle and aluminum wrist mounts. oh as well as my 2 printed belt boxes once again thanks to doggydoc
