I'm using the MCM_Designs blaster set for my DLT, and I'd like to have the underbarrel flashlights work as well as some blaster sounds when the trigger is pulled. I know it's not strictly required by any means, but it sounds like a fun little thing while I wait for my armor from Jim. I'd like to have the flashlights be controlled by a small switch in front of the trigger guard, with a battery under the receiver cover and wires running through the pipes that connect to the 2 lights, similar to how M300 flashlights have a flat switch that is close to the receiver. I'm definitely overthinking this since I know lights and switches are electronics 101, but I'd like to find an LED module that I don't need to have any extra resistors, heat sinks, etc. - something that I can solder up and use as the flashlights to make this a simple part of the build. Any tips here?

Ahh that makes more sense then, I probably read that as "if it's a replica of the Doc Martens but doesn't match the look of the Jered's, then it would not be L2 approvable" and went looking for something that would work under that assumption. I appreciate the clarification on this one though since they're hard shoes to come by!

That's good to know that they don't have to match 1:1 with the Doc Martens for level 2. I saw some detachment leaders a while back saying that since they used the Doc Martens style in the movie that it's what they have to require.

Keeptrooping has the boots back on their site!

It looks like keeptrooping no longer makes the doc martens Jered replicas for the DT, and I'm not sure if crowprops is level 2 approvable. Aside from getting lucky and finding a Jered or Talib in your size, what else can we do for death trooper boots? There's a few on Amazon that are pretty close and could be modified, but again not sure if that would be level 2 approvable. There's Doc Martens Thurston and Crewson that are also pretty similar? Any ideas what we can do?
