What are the general cost to create a Suit of Armor?

That really depends on a lot of things including the make of armor, new or used, kit form or assembled, quality of the build if assembled, etc. In addition there are all of the other costs such as undersuit, boots, neck seal, optional amplification, and building materials such as clamps, blades, E6000, snaps, and so forth. One could conceivably build a suit anywhere from $600-+$2000.

Does anyone have experience with the ATA or AM kits? Have they held up well with trooping? Thank you for your help.

Have an AM kit and still trooping strong after 3 years...one of my favorites.

with the AM kit did you do something to fill the seam between the cap and back of the helmet? that seam bugs the crap out of me
