What do you use for your belt?

I would prefer not to use the abs for the back half of the belt. Did any of you make a patent leather one? Or buy one? Where did you get it?

If you're going to go for patent leather you'll still need something to make the belt rigid. My wife (TK) has a canvas belt and it looks great but the weight of the holster and blaster cause it to sag and bind-up.

 

I've got the ABS and it works fine and looks good ( in my opinion ).

 

I thought that someone had posted pics of a DIY patent leather belt ...

I got one of these bad boys on order. Its just like TKittle's white canvas belt (which rocks by the way), but made especially for us TX's

Trying to figure out a different belt caused me a huge delay in getting my approval. I eventually just decided to go with the plastic to get my approval and have ended up using it ever since. 30+ troops now. It's held up great.

I traced the strips onto some thick leather, then dyed and glossed them up. More comfortable than the plastic, but doesn't quite look as nice as the patent leather.
