Death Trooper CRL - First draft

Recommended Posts

CRL updated concerning stitching. LMO will approve and get it published.

Thanks for that!

As for the conversation I directed them to Special Ops. So hopefully they are here now and pouring over the many many pages of research!

Agree on the L2 requirements. I have been thinking about this for a while, will be happy to contribute.

I know this CRL has been up for a while, but this sentence doesn't quite make sense to me:

Forearms have raised cover strips to the front and rear which on left forearm end approximately 60mm above the wrist

Is this detailing both forearms, or just the left? Or, is it trying to say there are cover strips on the front and rear of both forearms, but on the left forearm the strips end approximately 60mm above the wrist, which allows the spacing for the two rubber/rubber-like bands? The language is just a bit unclear...a comma or a separate sentence might make it more clear.

Yes and without repeating exactly what the CRL states. Both forearms have cover strips on the front and the rear. The left forearm front cover strip ends so as to allow for the two wrist bands.

The CRL is a bit confusing when defining Tier 2 and Specialist. Are they the same thing or is Specialist a variant that can be done in both T1 and T2? Also, if the Specialist is a variant, I would suggest to add all the Specialist add-ons at the end of the CRL. It is really a bit hard to keep track of what the Specialist requires if it is all scattered over the CRL. If T2 is the same as Specialist, then ignore this.

When talking about the boots it is used the word 'heal' instead of 'heel' for the back portion of the foot. Might lead to confusion in translation.

Specialist is a variant of the death trooper costume,so it's listed under optional costume elements in the CRL. It was coincidence that the death trooper came out and it's variant shared a name with spec ops' tier 2 system. The death trooper doesn't officially have a spec ops specialist level...yet. it will.

Yeah, and having had a long enough break from this and got some of my enthusiasm back I am happy to pick it up if you want mate. Was always in my plan to do anyway. :)

Great to have you back Mr Toots. Let's get the CRL sorted out and L2 requirements up! I'm psyched up!

Maybe I'm not using the right search words, but when will the Death Trooper be added to the Specialist Program? Again, apologies if this question has been asked before.

It's on the agenda for sure…but a few other things spiked up the priority list…namely, an entire website overhaul courtesy of Mark (nanotek) and the Imperial Army/Mudtrooper CRLs.

That said, you (and others) can definitely start chiming in ideas on how to revamp the CRL for L2. Hopefully we can get Mark (toots) in here to guide it along as well.

Hey, the insets and grooves are matte black not metallic black or gunmetal silver. Matte, when hit with a camera flash looks silver. When one does greyscale drawings and paintings with black primarily one uses the opacity and light refraction to make the different details come out. No need to go to a completely different color.

So has specialist been approved for Death Troopers?

Sorry, I am not sure I understand your question. If you are talking about the costume variation of "Death Trooper Specialist" then that is already a part of the current CRL and is approvable. If you are talking about the SpecOps Specialist Program then currently not. The CRL is being rewritten taking into account what will be the L2 requirements which will for the basis of the Specialist Program requirements. I do not have an ETA on that as of yet, it's a complex costume and there's a lot to cover.

For most armor grooves, matte black, then not an option?

Go check out the proposed updated CRL thread.
