Death Trooper - Blaster(s)

Recommended Posts

This thread will detail the specific weaponry of the Death Trooper and shall be updated with any new details/information that comes to light during the research and building of this costume.

Sidearm

The sidearm is a SE-14R Light Repeating Blaster with the dust cover slid back. (http://starwars.wiki...peating_blaster)

It has a printed circuit type detail on the underside of the block that is to the rear of the pistol grip.

Blaster

The standard issue blaster is a modified E-11 with a barrel extension/suppressor. It is fitted with a tactical light and a retractable stock both of which are known items:

  • The tactical Light is a Surefire M300 Mini Scout (http://www.surefire....cout-light.html). As a costume part the original is expensive however there are Airsoft based alternatives.
  • The retractable stock is from the ultra compact variant of the Heckler and Koch HK416 (the HK416c). As with the tactical light there are Airsoft based alternatives available.

The blaster also has a "targeting laser" mounted between the barrel and the folding stock.

The blaster has red and white detailing as well as being fitted with a red led lit charge indicator on the barrel between the magazine and the retractable stock. There are also red leds mounted into the plug part of the hengstler counter.

So lets talk blaster. Based on the limited high quality pics I think this is where I'm at

-Doopy Doos complete E11 kit

-HK416c retractable stock (airsoft variant)

-Surefire M300 tactical light (airsoft variant)

-Unique barrel (PVC)

Thoughts? What's going on between the barrel and the front of the E-11 base?

I'm going to go with the doopy's pipe blaster kit plus counter and power cells as the e-11 kit has cooling fins that would need removing so I have concluded that the pipe kit is easier ☺

This just hit the web for the modified E-11! Little pricier than I am willing to spend at this moment.

Yup, this is the one from Christopher.

If anyone is getting one from the US lmk, it may be possible to do a group buy to save on shipping as they are coming out of Belgium.

I have yet to order myself but hear good things from his products

Doopy's DLT 19 is not available for 1 year now, maybe more,

There's a guy in Spain who make good DLT19 from resin.

He's located in MEPD but I don't remember his name. If you want, I can find out.

But I think a DLT19 from Hyperfirm is first choise for you.

Unfortunately they don't ship to europe :6:

Who else does DLT-19s. Just checked Doopy's they're currently out of stock. RSMasters is not doing any runs. Christophers is gorgeous, but way too expensive!

Steve with Inland Empire Armory makes a resin DLT-19 kit for 250$. Assembled and painted is $350. The gun is hollow for electronics which I plan on adding to mine. He is making a modular DT kit for his DLT-19 so that you can quickly convert the blast to DT form. Should be ready early November. I think this is the best one stop shop for the long range DT blaster.

Yes but it's look like a second flashlight or laser. We can see a wire at the back.

Hmmm i think it's a laser but i've not found it on web

I agree that it is meant to be some sort of targeting laser pointer and like you have found nothing that is even close!

Here is a better image of the front section. Sadly the back section and wiring has been lost in the shadows.

Well, this thing is nothing. But the wire has a function. It powers a LED module and a speaker located at the bottom of the barrel. For the production of the movie, the light was white and the sound was a signal to "say" the weapon is firing. For us we can add a red light and the sound of this blaster.
