Buttons Paint or Leave stock

For my Anovos Shadow Trooper armor, are the 9 AB buttons needing gloss black paint or are the left alone. CRL say "The abdomen armor has a button area with 9 gloss black buttons, approximately 7/16" in diameter" I'm a bit confused. Thanks any help.

No need to paint. Just use as is out of the box.
