DeathMOS30[501st] Posted February 14, 2018 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Required Costume Components The following costume components must be present and appear as described below for approval Helmet For 501st approval: Traps (trapezoids on dome of the helmet) and tears (areas beneath the corners of eye lenses) are gloss dark gray. Acceptable lens color blue and must be sufficiently dark enough to obscure the eyes. 1/16†Blue strip runs around the lens part of the helmet. Lens is illuminated with blue lighting. Frown is black as well as groove along the side of the helmet The chin ball is black with a central groove in it. Brow trim is 5/8†charcoal/dark grey strip. Runs to the end of the tears on each side. Two 1/8†black vertical stripes run along the back of the “cheeks†Helmet is metallic silver/aluminum and gloss dark grey weathered where indicated in visual references. Design from front to top of the dome is a gloss dark grey weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Under Suit For 501st approval: Black non-textured material, either one piece or two piece construction with no visible zippers or logos. Neck Seal For 501st approval: Black with horizontal ribs, fitted to the wearer and extending from the base of the neck to conceal the entire neck. Chest Armor For 501st approval: Must overlap the abdominal plate Color is charcoal/dark grey for top part of chest and metallic silver/aluminum for the bottom part For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Chest Box For 501st approval: Must mount on the chest plate with a central box and lower tube. Two hoses lead out of the box into the helmet. Color is light gray/silver. A single hose comes out lower box and attaches to the abdomen plate. Color is black. Chest box has blue lighting emitting on front of the box. Triangular cod piece with rounded bottom edge. Color is dark grey and weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Back Armor For 501st approval: Contains an “O II†design with little or no overlap of the kidney plate. Color is metallic silver/aluminum and weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Gloves For 501st approval: Must be black rubber, nomex, leather, or leather like material, with no visible straps or logos. The fingers are enclosed, non-textured. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Hand Plates For 501st approval: Must be roughly pentagonal in shape, the hand plates are mounted securely over the back of the glove. As an alternative to plastic, these may be made out of latex or latex-like material. Color is metallic silver/aluminum and weathered where indicated in visual references. TK hand plates are not acceptable For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Finger Plates For 501st approval: Each finger has two finger plates with the thumb having a single, longer plate. Color is charcoal/dark grey and weathered where indicated in the visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Shoulder Bell Armor For 501st approval: Must have one on each shoulder being a flat black in color. Each shoulder bell has five holes. There is a small section on the shoulder bell that is metallic/aluminum and weathered where indicated in the visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Bicep Armor For 501st approval: Must be fully closed. Color is metallic silver/aluminum and weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Forearm Armor For 501st approval: Must be fully closed and has a slight angle from top to bottom of back of forearm. Tube is dark gray in color and has blue lighting emitting from both sides. Blue lighting emits from the forearm slot/ridges. Both forearms have a blue lighting strip running around the circumference of the forearm. Color is charcoal/dark gray and weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Abdomen Plate Armor For 501st approval: The ab plate has a button area with 4 black buttons, 4 blue lit buttons and one charcoal/dark grey button Buttons are approximately 7/16†in diameter A circular detail is present on the right side wearing it just above the belt. A hose coming from the chest box attaches to the left side just above the belt. Color is charcoal/dark grey and weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Kidney Plate Armor For 501st approval: Single kidney butt plate is allowable. If Separate butt plate is used it should line up below the bottom of the belt with the ab plate, with minimal gap between it and the kidney plate. Color is charcoal/dark grey and weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Posterior Plate Armor For 501st approval: Single kidney butt plate is allowable. If Separate butt plate is used it should line up below the bottom of the belt with the ab plate, with minimal gap between it and the kidney plate. Color is charcoal/dark grey and weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Belt For 501st approval: Must be made of plastic (ammo belt). Comprised of 6 rectangular boxes with two circular greeblies on the ends of the belt. Color is metallic silver/aluminum and weathered where indicated in visual references. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Belt Pouches For 501st approval: Must have two rectangular belt pouches that are attached on each side of the belt( four in total) Color is charcoal/dark grey. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Thigh Armor For 501st approval: Must be closed in the back. Color is charcoal/dark grey and weathered as indicated in visual reference. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Lower Leg Armor For 501st approval: Must close in the back. Knee plates mount on both legs. Right knee plate is black and left knee plate is charcoal/medium grey. Right leg has 4 tubes, similar to the forearm tub mounted on the side. Each tube has a blue lighting emitting from the front and back of them. Color is charcoal/dark gray. Color metallic silver/aluminum and weathered where indicated in visual reference. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Field Backpack For 501st approval: A loose interpretation is allowed but screen accuracy is encouraged. Styled after the ANH Sandtrooper packs. The frame of the pack is in two separate sections; one extends around the sides and top of the pack, with the other section laying below the bottom box. A hose extends around the left and top side (as you look at it) of the pack. Colors consists of metallic silver/aluminum, and dark grey as well as black and are weathered as indicated in visual reference. Includes blue lighting. For level two certification (if applicable): Backpack is present Comprised of two main boxes (aka Seed Trays), that are the approximate width of the Back Armor. Correct bend on frame. For level three certification (if applicable): Boots For 501st approval: Must be charcoal/dark grey leather or leather like material, above ankle height, with a flat sole, with no buckles or laces. Jodhpur-type boots or an equivalent style. A "dog bone" shaped strap covers the bridge of the foot. There should be no seam on the front of the boot. Elvis or Mariachi boots are not acceptable. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): Optional Accessories Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present must meet the guidelines. E-11 Blaster For 501st approval: Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. For level two certification (if applicable): Folding stock (does not need to function). A real replica ammo counter – based off of a Hengstler counter – shall be present D-ring mounted on the rear Sterling based blasters have the correct M-38 or M-19 style scope. Two power cylinders on the magazine housing. Scratch-built, resin cast, Hyperfirm rubber cast blasters shall have a total of 6 T-racks on blaster (leaving the lowest row on the magazine housing side uncovered) If using the Hasbro E-11 toy blaster and you cover all the rows of holes, the blaster will have 7 T-tracks total. But if you want to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total) with the lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side, then you shall cover the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, and grind off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side and drill a new row of holes in its place. No ESB/ROTJ greeblies are allowed on the blaster. For level three certification (if applicable): Hasbro blasters are not allowed, even conversions. FA-3 Fletchette Launcher Rifle Manufactured by BlasTech Industries For 501st approval: Based on a scratch-built. Colors are black, silver, dull yellow with appropriate weathering. For level two certification (if applicable): Must have red and green lighting on side. Must have blue lighting. For level three certification (if applicable): T-21 Light Repeating Blaster Rifle Manufactured by BlasTech Industries For 501st approval: Based on a real or replica Lewis Mark I machine gun. For this prop the magazine disk and bipod of the original gun are left off. For level two certification (if applicable): A ribbed length of tubing shall be installed over the front of the gun barrel. A canvas, leather, or nylon sling shall be attached. Sight shall be present on top where ribbing meets base. 1 Link to comment
