Death Trooper Armour Paint Scheme

Another trooper asked about which parts are painted with the Tamiya TS40 Metallic Black paint.

 

I did up some quick schematics highlighting in green the panels that have the paint applied. I will update this thread with the helmet and may also look at weathering as well at some point.

Nice, thanks Mark. Is this color also used in the accent lines in the armor? I always see DT's with bright silver but that doesn't seem right. If anything, it looks like gun metal or the metallic black you've mentioned.

So... Is it only one side of the chest that gets that paint?

So far I have only noticed it in sections of armour. Not all lines. We will continue to work on these guides in the meantime

As far as we can tell, yes. It’s on alternating parts, so not symmetrical
