Ammo packs

I have a question about the Shadow Trooper. Must the MP40 ammo packs be made of leather or are MP 40 ammo packs made of canvas ok?

It’s not named in Crl from what material they need to be.

If something isn't stated explicitedly the general rule is typically to make it look like the picture.  In this case, Leather or leather-like is what they should be. No canvas.
