ThePuriProdigy
Hey everyone, after years of following the 501, I've finally found myself the spare time to create a costume and hopefully eventually get approved/start volunteering! Since I've done some hands on build projects before for school and for fun, I wanted to tackle a more challenging costume for my first build and so I settled on the Rogue One Death Trooper. I'm currently on the research stage and wanted to ask 2 clarifying questions. 1. For armor, I want to get a Fiberglass kit and I've been looking mostly at Jim Tripon and Plastic Arms Dealers' kits. Do you guys have any advice/input about what the differences between these two fiberglass kits are? Not sure which one to go for but am slightly leaning towards PAD. 2. Lord knows why but I was born with a very high metabolism and so its always been hard for me to put on weight/gain fat and so my frame is rather quite skinny. However, I am 6 feet tall and so I'm not sure if my frame/dimensions would make going with fiberglass hard because I have heard that fiberglass is harder to resize than ABS. Has anyone found having a skinny frame to be a problem for a DT suit from Jim or PAD? Maybe I can just resort to putting Styrofoam in the interior for cushion but I'm not sure. Thanks and I will post future questions here if they pop up but otherwise, thanks and Merry Christmas Link to comment
