Forgot about the clips, I will have that painted by tomorrow No. You need to follow the same contour/shape that is there already. The simplest way to do it is with 2 pencils. Let me see if I can explain it. One should be a little longer than the other. Tape them together by the eraser end. Place something (balled up piece of tape works) in between them near the tip that is the size of how much you want to trim. The longer pencil will glide along the top of the contour and the shorter pencil will mark where to cut. Hopefully that makes sense. 1 Link to comment
IcyTrooper[CMD-DL]
The shine is definitely A LOT better! As @Allan1313 said you are going to to want to create that guide with the pencil for the desired width and do it from the front. You'll be able to take as much as you need off to help with it hitting the cod plate. Link to comment

I can’t submit yet because of garrison election but I want to know what you guys all think. The thy pieces are too long for my body and it’s causing multiple problems. It feels more comfortable if I pull them up but then they run on the cod, and when I put them down then they are resting on top of the lower leg pieces. Also then butt armor is still hanging like a full diaper, I can try to shorter the strap between the legs to try to get a better shape out of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Let me know your feedback https://imgur.com/gallery/mMiwCo9 It definitely looks glossy enough for me, good job Mason! I know exactly what you went through, keep you head up bro. The end zone is close!!! 1 Link to comment

Forgot about the clips, I will have that painted by tomorrow cant trim from bottom because of the lips there. you have to shape the top. its only spot you can do it from. i had to do it a bit on my TK kit because it would catch on the butt plate and “pop” incessantly. i also shaved off some butt plate too edit: i read @Allan1313 post after. he got you lol Link to comment
ImperialLoyalty342[TX]
that is a good explanation @Allan1313i know to keep the shape but on top there is a return edge, it isn’t straight off the top, it curves back for comfort I guess. If I cut, then that return edge will be gone completely. Should I do that? With that gone on both sides, the circumference will also be larger, so I will probably have to resize it. Link to comment

The main reason for return edge is esthetics. The return edge gives the armor an appearance of being thicker than it is. The return edge is not necessary. As far as needing to resize, I don't think you would need to to that. The return edge is not that big. If you find that the thighs are flopping around or twisting on you, you can always put a few pieces of padding inside so they stay put. 1 Link to comment
ImperialLoyalty342[TX]
I trimmed the thighs about 2”, they fit much better. They don’t touch the cod piece anymore but they still clip the butt plate when I walk. I tightened the connection of the cod to butt plate in between the legs in hopes of it hanging less down. It is an improvement but I’m not sure how to solve the problem completely, I may have to get use to it. No big deal tho, the armor really looks great and feels wonderful. I will take the suggestion from @Allan1313and put some padding in the thighs. Once election is over, I will be able to submit photos for basic approval. I do plan to go for specialist. https://imgur.com/gallery/FOiSGuJ 1 Link to comment
Allan1313[MBO-CMD]
Nice work. Once you wear it a few times you will find some more "problem" areas that you will tweak and it will be great. Link to comment
IcyTrooper[CMD-DL]
Glad to see that it feels better. Like @Allan1313 said, you first few troops you'll find areas that need adjustments or be refined. Link to comment
ImperialLoyalty342[TX]
I’m proud to say that I sent in the submission photos yesterday. It’s during election but my GML wants to get them so I could get approved right away in time for c2e2 after voting ends. If you see any major problems, please let me know. I appreciate all the help so far. https://imgur.com/gallery/tG0sES2 Link to comment

We evaluated Halycons app prior to the CRL update publishing which did not specifically mention wide mesh tips. Im not sure those will be good for Level 2 going forward (you can switch them after though of course). Here is a comparison pic...ukswrath tips (from Halycons bucket) vs my TK bucket where i replaced the original Anovos mesh with a wider mesh for centurion approval 1 Link to comment
ImperialLoyalty342[TX]
I can switch them out for the photos @Raider but I need to troop with the ones from ukswrath. Ill take a picture of the Rs ones today for you 1 Link to comment

I know for Anovos I had to pop out the old mesh and replace with wider mesh. I may still have some even 1 Link to comment
IcyTrooper[CMD-DL]
Yep we had a revision for the CRL already on the docket when the last shadow stormtrooper was approved specialist, which went into effect after his approval. I updated the specialist checklists last month when the updated CRL went live. That speaks to what @Raider is talking about Link to comment
