I would like to add a boot i found on the german market:

BIG-TEXXOR-S3

https://www.bfl-versand.de/Arbeitsschuhe-Berufsschuhe-Sicherheitsschuhe-Winterstiefel/Winter-Leder-Stiefel-Kaelteschutz/BIG-TEXXOR-S3-Winterreissverschlussstiefel-Zipper-schwarz/gruen::6156.html

They close in leather design to other listed boots here but what anoys me is the modern looking sole... idk if this would be approved.

I'm currently looking for a boot with a wider shaft because the Denver Hayes dont fit my wide legs ?

personally, and even thinking of it as a GML, i like this boot.

This goes to size 48?  Can you measure how big the leg calf opening is around?  I know someoone in Yavin Base that wants to do a IA Trooper and she has big legs, so this may work for her

Thank you for this list!  I would like to update my boots to go along with the updated CRL and apply for specialist.  So far I haven't been able to find something in my size from a site that I can order from.     I normally wear a 7.5-8 women's size.    Most men's boots only go to size 7 which is about a 8.5 women's.    I believe that would be too big for me.

If you come across something that has smaller sizes let me know!    One of the boots from Spain looked like it may work since it has a EU 39 size, but overseas ordering was not an option.

I'm not building this costume and not sure if any of these boots could be made approvable with modification but these are what I found after doing a quick search for women's boots. Someone else will have to chime in as to whether you could make any of them approvable.

https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-4491914/croft-barrow-caimen-womens-mid-calf-slouch-boots.jsp?prdPV=19 - not sure if the slouch style could be "fixed", also the heel may not be acceptable

Anyways I hope one of these could work for you. Good luck with your build!

From what I can see, these would probably be the closest to the CRL and text. All you'd have to do is remove that ring and the strapping on that side and change the color and you'd be set. @jenmcnitt

What'd you say @Blackwatch?

How did I not see this????

Ok, I dont know if its still there for not but I used to check boots for the JRS and create lists, including ladies sizes.    Some of these are a bit "decorative" with the longer tongue at the front, HOWEVER, lets say you want to paint them green and slather on a buncha mud. or even black with mud, ?   But, I digress.

@DarthSnark I want to thank you for the effort you put into this search.  This is something we need to address, and we have a growing number of ladies who are going for Specialist.  This is all necessary.   I know from my years of developing boot lists that ladies boots are tough.  I wear size 13EEE to 14EE , so I know how tough it is to find boots.   Size 5 is just as hard as size 15.

Speak to your GML before you buy, get approval so you know any boot you get can be approved, likely with some modification.

Personally, I dig the Madison boot.   Thats a 7 - 7.5 US size, true to size, narrow.

The  Marco Tozzi  boot has the wider size range, from 5 to 9.5, but will need some work to get the shank straightened out.  Or replaced perhaps.

The Razamaza boot goes from size 3 to 10, giving by far the widest selection of sizes.   The longer , scalloped tonge on the front might be able to be trimmed down, and the top can be fixed as well.

Looking at the old 'bay for whats out there, I found a set of size 7 engineer boots, which can be cut down (or used for a TIE pilot, etc). its basically the ladies version of the same boot I wear with my TIE and gunner.

Here's a set of size 8 Frye's that could also be trimmed down to size for use.

Jennifer I hope this helps, Please keep us up to date on where you stand. When I was the Lead Mentor over at the JRS I trained my Mentors to have their Cadets get boots first *for this very reason*.  Boots are most often the hardest part of people with feet and calves that do not fit in the "standard" sizes.

@Blackwatch Thank you for your reply!  My initial approval was before the modified CRL so my current boots are taller than the Commuter style boots.

Your link for the Madison boot isn't working for me.  It is going to the Razamaza boot.

For the engineer boot you linked, I wasn't sure if the heel would be too tall.

The Fryes maybe the best option for what I see so far after trimming them down and removing the buckle straps.

Thanks Jennifer I fixed the link and it points the right direction now.  The engineer boots (or any engineer boot similar to the fry) should work as long as it has a conservative heel, not so much like a "roper" heel or super tall, but it will always come down to what a GML wants.

For anyone watching this topic, post your questions or PM me. If you are not sure, get your GML involved since that person will do Level 1 approval , we will handle it from there for L2.

Jen I like those.   Id approve them if I was your GML, once the neato straps are cut off and you shorten them.  Really sorry to take so long responding to you.

im bumping this topic for people who are looking for the commuter, or commuter "type" boots.

The resources in this link should help a ton of people with various foot sizes.

Hello Peoples - we - a german group of 9 people want to make a army trooper group - is this Boot acceptable? Is there anybody from de Detachment CS who can confirm this boot?

We want to use it fo the Engineer and the Trooper ... I ask because of the sipper - It is visible and in the CRL there is a sentence that confuses me a bit:

Engineer CRL:

  • Zippers on the inside of the boot are acceptable, so long as they are concealed. If not covered by leather or vinyl, zippers are painted black.

Trooper CRL:

  • Zippers on the inside of the boot are acceptable, so long as they are concealed.
  • If the zipper is not covered by vinyl/leather, it is painted black.

So is it ok when the sipper can be seen?

Greetings
