Dropkick[CMD-XO]
Hi folks, I have a cleared shadow stormtrooper & I'm working towards my specialist application. I've hit a snag & would like to ask the specialists here what they used to paint the silicone or latex hand guards. The CRL states that the hand guards need to be painted, but what paint sticks to silicone or latex? My hand guards are black already, so either a flexivle gloss black or flexible clear gloss should do the trick. Any help is appreciated. I'm based in Ireland, so anything that can be sourced in the EU would be the easiest. Thanks in advance. 1 Link to comment
IcyTrooper[CMD-DL]
@Dropkick Shane, I may not have a source for EU paint but I'd say look for something that is oil-based. It should stick to latex better than acrylic. 1 Link to comment
crazas[TX]
Try Plasti Dip, it works great BUT you will need to repaint depending on the use of the armor. for the firt time make at least 4-5 coats (let it dry between coats) 3 Link to comment

nanotek[CMD-DWM]
If you want to get super nerdy it will depend on the exact chemical composition of the latex/silicon this will allow you to select the correct Adhesion Promoter. I have not had the need to paint any latex or vinyl, but the process is still the same. Also make sure your surface is properly cleaned and prepared, there are lots of chemicals from release agents that will mess up the paint 1 Link to comment
