Does anyone use ABS sludge to glue pieces of the 850 Armors works armor?

Hi.

Im Coming to my DT build from the clone detachment, I made my entire 332 grunt with ABS sludge as glue. 

Does that work here with the black armor? Also since the plastic is already black, Im assuming I still need to paint it?

I don't see why you couldn't do that, just would need to smooth it out so that it isn't noticeable and that the color matches in the end.

Hi Chip. I suppose you could use ABS paste, but using E6000 would be easier.  The paste works well when you need to hide a seam.  You shouldn't have to paint unless you end up doing modifications and end up with Bondo or something all over your armour.  Some of the smaller resin pieces can be painted gloss black and blend in nicely with the ABS - black is quite forgiving when it comes to color matching.

I'd tend to use E6000 for gluing ABS & then the ABS sludge to fill any gaps if I was adding shims.

thanks all. Ive yet to begin. Im currently still heavy into researching the build and may begin with the helmet (mine is 3d printed) so I have ALOT of sanding to do. lol
