Ren Posted November 17 Share Posted November 17 Hello, I am member Jintalol Wang and I have been wanting to upgrade my Death trooper Armor mold. In 2019, I used a sideshow 1/4 statue as the basis to make my first set of vacuum molds, but I think it was not accurate enough. Recently, I purchased a second-hand ANOVOS Death trooper statue, which is more accurate in some details and shapes. I have decide to scan it and use it as the basic design mold. Ren Posted November 17 Author Share Posted November 17 Firstly, I conducted a rough scan of it to determine its size. The height of the ANOVOS statue is 200cm, which I believe is not suitable for most people. My height is 184cm, so I reduced it by 3% so that I can use height pads to increase my height. Ren Posted November 17 Author Share Posted November 17 I completed the design of the shoulder armor mold today. I reduced the concave part of the mold by 2mm twice, which is the thickness of the ABS board. This way, I can obtain a relatively accurate groove width. 1 Link to comment

Ren Posted November 24 Author Share Posted November 24 I used a 2mm ABS vacuum for it, and I added a gas storage tank to my vacuum pump to enhance its power. It looks pretty good and is almost identical to the original statue. I will be working on the molds for the shoulders and waist tomorrow. 1 Link to comment
