General Weir L2 question.

Hello All, 

Not sure if this this the correct location for this question, but I recently cleared my General Weir and Shadow scout. Now I am working on getting level 2 clearance for both. But on reading the requirements for Weir. I noticed that on the crl for the back armour it stated the following.

• Detail piece on top of tank is not present. 
  • Does this mean that the plate is completely removed and its just a plain tank.
• Tank stripe decals are not acceptable.
  • I understand that this would mean that the line decal is remove completely, is this the same for the 6 strips on the right side of the tank also?

As per the reference images, for the first question, his tank is smooth on the top, which is why the L1 is listed as optional:

For the second question, you are correct on the center stripe decal as that detail wouldn't be present to begin with. As for the 6 stripes on the side, you are correct, they would not be present.

Hello Ryan,

No problem, no rush on this so was happy to wait. Thanks also for the confirmation above ont he two questions. So I have go the ball rolling on another tank/back for Weir as I made a start already for the Shadow Scout. 

I do have a followup question regarding the tank however. You mention that I am correct about the decal stripe. But looking at the image from the comic you posted. There is ether a graphic or a phyiscal indentation going right across the entire tank. As its not on the crl, can this be ignored? As I have not see a vendor produce this style of tank for a scout.

Well, now that you said something....just kidding  , you don't need to worry about that indention. It isn't in the CRL at this current time. I actually think they meant to draw it lower, but didn't. The smooth top is consistent in numerous panels.

For a second there the cogs were turning on how I could get that indent 😅. Thats perfect, I am sure I might be back here a few times yet. But thanks for the info Ryan.
