EC-17 Holdout Blasters Death Trooper WIP

Recommended Posts

Hey all, looking into starting my death trooper, and bought this helmet off someone a little while ago, and noticed some flaws in the pieces, they were concerning to me, and maybe enough to not be workable without some major transformation, what do yall think? Below are some of the pieces I’m most concerned about.

Hi Logan.
it is tough to tell from the photos.  The face plate looks a bit warped,  maybe warming it in a hot water bath before attaching it may help to make it a bit more flexible, then hold its form in the attached position once cooled.  With respect to the other parts, some sanding and Bondo may help to correct the imperfections.
Maybe try piecing it together with tape and grabbing some photos, so we can see how it looks somewhat assembled.

The maker is KB props, from before he shut down I believe, and here are some of the images with it held together, I did end up doing some cutting on those bits that were hanging out.

Also, how do I continue to post photos, my size limit is preventing me from uploading more, sorry Im not used to these types of sites.

Create and upload images to imgur.com.  Then copy the "Direct Link" address when you click on a photo, and paste it when you make a post.

I think the helmet could work with sanding, filling and some reshaping of the pieces with a hot water bath. It will definitely take done work.  If you get an imgur account as Dan mentioned, then you will be able to post more photos and have them higher resolution for us to see better what needs to be done.

Your link works and the photos are definitely helpful!

The immediate things that stick out to me are:

-the top grey faceplate is crooked and would have to have the space on the side of the nose grill more evenly distributed

- the front grille greeblie should slide in to its slot and lay flat. The nose grille is also look crooked.

-the 2 tusk covers would need to be trimmed and fit in from behind the tusks (though you may just opt to use dark green safety face shield and trim it to fit inside them).

Hopefully these are easy fixes for you!
