Khal Death Trooper WIP

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a member and GML of the 501st FanWars Garrison Belgium for many years now (Darth Vader and Kylo Ren costumes), but I had never worn a full suit of armor until now !

I’ve decided to build a Death Trooper that I've wanted to do for a long time !
I recently got myself a BambuLab P1S printer, and so I took on the challenge of printing the full armor myself.
A new adventure begins, and I’m already feeling a thrill I hadn’t felt in years.

I’ve been working on the armor since late March, and I finally decided to share my progress here.

Progress by Parts

Helmet

Files from MCM Design
I made great progress this weekend. Still missing :

• The lenses (Bulbed Lens from OPLE Props, ordered early May, shipped on June 13, still waiting, it’s dragging a bit 😬)
• Ordering a rubber edge
• All electronics : LEDs, fans, padding, etc

 

Armor
Files from MCM Design
Everything has been printed. Progress so far :

• Forearms, biceps and shoulder bells: painted but not weathered yet
• Currently working on the upper chest section (sanding, sanding and sanding)
• Shins and thighs will wait until the undersuit arrives, it's already tight with jeans on !

Belt
I found the main belt material locally and ordered all the accessories from A&J Projects (awaiting delivery).

Soft Parts

• Gloves received from Endor Finder
• Boots : I had purchased Talibs back when Rogue One came out, just in case, they’ve been waiting ever since !
• Undersuit ordered from Jim Tripon (awaiting delivery)

Blasters

• SR-14R ordered from A&J Projects (awaiting delivery)
• E-11D : printed from MCM files, fully assembled and base coat applied. Final painting still to come.
