DLT-19D Electronics Question

Recommended Posts

I'm using the MCM_Designs blaster set for my DLT, and I'd like to have the underbarrel flashlights work as well as some blaster sounds when the trigger is pulled. I know it's not strictly required by any means, but it sounds like a fun little thing while I wait for my armor from Jim.

I'd like to have the flashlights be controlled by a small switch in front of the trigger guard, with a battery under the receiver cover and wires running through the pipes that connect to the 2 lights, similar to how M300 flashlights have a flat switch that is close to the receiver. I'm definitely overthinking this since I know lights and switches are electronics 101, but I'd like to find an LED module that I don't need to have any extra resistors, heat sinks, etc. - something that I can solder up and use as the flashlights to make this a simple part of the build.

Any tips here?

drill two 10mm holes in the center of the lights, cover with white opaque lens or cover, run the wires to your battery and switch ... bam, you have lights.
