  1. Straight back into it, no messing about, have to make up for lost time... Sanding down the edges to be glued. A ladies nail file is great for most of the sanding work, but I switched to 60 sand paper to really get into it and make the glue hold. Getting fully prepared, blue tape to highlight the areas to be glued and assist with any overrunning. The infamous E6000, and small resealable bags... Here's what I'm using the small resealable bags for... Squirt a small amount into the bag, quickly seal it up and screw the top back onto the E6000. Straight away you're avoiding any runny gooey mess from the top of the E6000 and keeping your selected amount of glue fresh. Push the glue down towards the bottom of the bag with a piece of card and then slice a small corner of the bag, thus making something similar to an icing bag which allows you to apply as much glue as you like and simple to handle... Seems to be working for me... Now have both biceps (only one side at a time), an arm and a leg all glued, clamped and earth magnets in place... until tomorrow
  2. In the mean time, the blue milk canister is now complete ...
  3. HOORAYYYYYY!!!.... The holy grail has FINALLY arrived... This one was ordered from Sydney a week and a half ago, the other 2 tubes ordered 4 weeks ago from China still haven't arrived!! Now I can get 'stuck' into it again!
  4. Thanks Nick Still just waiting for that E6000 so I can start putting the armor together though Yeah the binders are awesome, really sets off the Shadow Trooper and gives it that extra edge in my opinion
  5. Thanks Al, but I pretty much have the canister put together now, and think I have a way to fix it in place nicely too I'll just keep the other clips for my next build which won't be an AM kit but the latest version
  6. Haha, nothing like a hugging butt plate Yeah I double checked with the CRL and my Garrison, it's all good .... Winning!!
  7. Can I get some advice please? Someone just told me that the AM TD is not approveable? Is this correct? Going off the fact that Panda made his own style of clips for this? I've already fixed my holster clips to the AM TD, but I also have a pair of regular clips on standby. Ideally I'd like to stick with the current TD if possible as it matches the armour and my aim is to achieve Specialist.
  8. No worries Q's an absolute genius around these parts. Approved 8 costumes in his first year and built pretty much every gun going from scratch. These binders are fantastic, right down to the last detail of having a magnet between the clasps to lock them together.
  9. My Tandy Leather pack arrived today, including more snaps, belt clips for my TD and Chicago screws which has allowed me to attach the ab plate like so... And this little fella arrived to sit on top of my black and chrome Trooper van dashboard.
  10. Thanks Todd! Just finished covering the canvas belt in the shiny PVC material...
  11. A guy over here from TAG, we've nicknamed him Q as he's always on the build with something new lol He's just started posting about them over on FISD in the For Sale section..... Here
  12. And a pair of these bad boy binders with pouch arrived today too....
  13. Gotta love Araldite 5 min epoxy... Undercoat done... And fitted the inner drop boxes while I wait for the paint to dry...
  14. Right, onto the Hasbro Doopy build... Cut off the front piece... very carefully and LED still in one piece Front of the scope and extra little nipple piece that sits under the front barrel removed. Filled in some of the screw holes. Sand away the raised wording... Filed out the scope rail... Also filed out the front sight...
  15. Yeah gotta love the AM, especially for a Shadow Trooper, really makes the lines stand out I've got the clamps and magnets too and sanding sheets (another good thing I've been using is a ladies nail file, rough one side and more fine on the other, perfect for those tight areas), now just this damn E6000 I'm waiting on lol Thankfully the Doopys will give me something else to do now while I wait, cos if I sit and trim anymore down off this armor I'll be left with nothing but shards of ABS haha
  16. Received a few nice arrivals today.... (But still no E6000)!!! Got the Doopys Hasbro kit to get stuck into for now though... The inner drop boxes, canvas belt from Trooper Bay and shiny PVC material to cover the canvas belt also just arrived... And got more great news last night that Arakyel has finished my helmet and will be shipping it off today!! Have pretty much all of the armor trimmed and ready to glue together if only this E6000 would land on my doorstep soon lol
  17. Maybe next thing I should work on is one in that proportion too haha
  18. lol fair enough... trust me it's easier than the heat gun
  19. Coming along nicely Derek Although I don't think having rivets is an issue for Specialist, not from what I have seen anyway.
  20. Here's another for the files.... I just bought this little sucker to sit nicely on my dash in my black and chrome van... Just keeping it all TX
  21. Haha yes we have Pringles here too lol I know what you mean, it's just like that too for me, tuck your thumb in and your hand will just slip through. Picked up some sticky back black foam and will use it inside my arms and legs
  22. Cutting back the arms now, amazing how much you need to take off of these (trimmed arm in the middle) Also filed back the return edge more, as I need to keep in mind I will have gloves on too...
  23. Thanks Nick Just trying to do what I can while still waiting for the E6000 to arrive
