Thanks Mark. If we are taking a vote, I say no for a separate Detachment, at least until there are a lot more IAT/IAE/ Imp Army Troopers etc to make it worth the effort.
-
My thoughts on why this new Imperial Army Trooper should stay here is we already have the majority of Army troopers. From IATs to Muddies, they fit here. Robert's thought that the IOC has more enlisted is not accurate. It has more enlisted Navy troopers. Bridge crewman? Army aint got no spaceship bridges. Mechanical Trooper..that could go either way. Scanning Crewman? CREW(as in Navy Crew) Man. Navy trooper? Says it right in the title.

Yeah Im following those as well

Thanks. I had not seen that thread until you posted it. Thanks again!

Yeah I saw that. Im so jealous of my Bro lol

Tim, I am a approved IAT and my sleeves are adjustable like the one you posted the pic of. Note the CRL does not specify but I think it looks better wit the adjustable cuff to fit it to the individual wearer. With that said, if it is fit to the wearer, I don't see why it would have to be required to be adjustable ? For consistency, the tab would be nice to it matches other IATs but not my call. FWIW I am not a GML or anything similar. Just a simple IAT

So is anyone going to take a stab at the actual uniform specifics , material , cut wise? I thought it looked a lot like the same material that was used for the ICAT but according to another 501st member who wore the Andor costume, its stretchy denim type. here is the direct quote. "Hey guys, I was lucky enough to wear the uniform on set and now the episode aired today I'm probably a little more free to talk about it. It was more like a stretch denim, will try get some example pictures of closeups to be used at somepoint." I know zip about fabric and sewing.

I like the 'IA' prefix designation for sure. It covers both the IAT and IAE/Sappers, Muddies.
-
Oohh.great point there..I never even considered that. How about Imperial Army Detachment Platoons? Covers Infantry and Sapper/Engineers

"Create Detachment Squads" This right here, for now. Keep it under Spec Ops now until there are enough approved members/interest/whatever to start looking at a separate detachment. Plus we have to consider the armored troopers. 1/2 armor , like the Muddies stay in the IAT detachment or would they go to FISD? Different armor level? So much stuff to consider. We don't need to be in the IOC, as they are specifically Sergeants and Corporals so far named in the series. I have nothing against the IOC I'm a member, but again they are Officers. On the Andor subject, I am super super digging the Imp Army Uniforms and that long boy E-11

I'm still alive, it has been one of those years. LOL The suit was dropped off to the seamstress right before Covid hit so I have no idea when it will be done. I think I have everything else already.- 119 replies

A little trick for the suspenders also if they keep slipping down is 1" Velcro squares on the shoulders and suspenders where they meet when positioned properly. -
Another plus for Matt's parts.

New CRL Proposal - Lieutenant Janek Sunber (SW:E)
pm07 replied to Tarrif's topic in Lieutenant Janek Sunber
Raider, For the pouch specifics here you go: 2 rectangular pouches with a top flap, and strap from top to bottom securing it shut, sit to the right of the belt buckle where the harness meets the belt: Condor 191044 or MA15 A gas-mask style pouch sits on the right of the above pouches: Condor MA2 * This is a close match due to the actual gas mask pouch is a vertical mount/opening A tactical triple AK magazine PALS belt pouch should be on the rear of the belt: Condor MA33 An electrobinoculars pouch sits on the left of the belt buckle where the harness meets the belt: Condor 191064 or MA8. *The actual bino pouch(191064) is 6" high while the utility pouch (MA8 ) is 4.5" high but would require removal of the molle/pals on the front of the pouch. 2 rectangular pouches with a top flap, and strap from top to bottom securing it shut, sit to the left of the electrobinoculars pouch: Condor 191044 or MA15- 119 replies

So was it ever decided if the grenade pouch met the requirement for the 2 rectangular pouches to the left of the buckle or is this a better choice. Also, does the small pocket under the shoulder patch have to be functional?- 119 replies
