  2. So quick question chaps - I want to start on my tanks build and at present I am thinking about the options I posted earlier - where I have seen domed waste bins for the cylinders, then probably use plywood to make the central support that runs around the tanks. What do we do about sizing options - I know that we have some approx sizing already from the great work that Deadman has put into this, however, as there is no CRL yet do we work to those or is there any margins / tolerances we can work within - as long as proportionally it's correct - and obviously not hugely outside of what we believe. I don't really want to get 50% through a build to find elements are unlikely to be cleared ? what's the stance on this as I've never had to do a scratch build without a CRL to work to ??? The reason I am asking is that bins I want to use are just over 6" wide and I think I could probably use packaging tubes at 5.75" - so neither 6" but both very close ? Thoughts please Ta
  3. If you check that 3d printer in Belgium he's printed the flamethrower now and looks great. The only issue I can see is that it would be better if it had a central core running through it, would help with being more durable. I worry the bottom hand grip being in 2 pieces maybe a weak point. 4. Right so Friday I'll be ordering my lid from DC Props, nice and painted too - can't wait. Here's a link - gonna be shiney ! https://www.facebook.com/DCProp/photos/pb.171435606316064.-2207520000.1453922773./786696134790005/?type=3&theater Then I think I'm going to order Procoprint3D's flamethrower as for €250 thats good value ! http://www.procoprin...0f-f3e3152016d9 and it's also nice to see he has the following too and at €450 I'll be watching this one. http://www.procoprin...0b-e7a1f6e85ad4 I have some other ideas on flametanks too though and packaging tubes would be perfect for the tanks, strong and lightweight - so may actually give this a go myself. I'd be interested to know what you guys think of the 3D from the guy. I know Kevin is almost ready with his flamethrower but shipping could be an issue. This firm is in Belgium and so easier for the UK. Does anyone have any contacts for Armour yet ? But looking forward to get cracking on these
  5. Looks good, might I suggest you sell the 3D print files etc. If the actual kit is cost prohibitive to ship then at least you can make an income off the work you've done by selling the file? Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  6. The wait is killing me keep it up Kev ! can't wait to see it ready to rock and roll - !! put me down !
  7. They are 30cm high waste bins, from b and q, so light, easy to mod and are 6" wide and 3.5" wide. Bullet bins I think they are called. Join 2 together maybe hide the join in that central section. Job done possibly! Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

  9. FLAMETROOPER GRRRRRR !

  10. well boys I'm a TK from the UK and this bad boy looks the nuts. Keep going with the build as this is one of those builds which will be a show stopper ! cant wait to keep in the loop with progress. I've also been looking at the way this backplate sits with the tanks - I'm a scuba diver and first off whatever weight is on those tanks will not just be held with shoulder straps. I reckon looking at the armour there is likely to be a waist strap around the trooper, hidden by that armour where the base of the tanks joins it So it'll be shoulder straps and a central waistband. This should allow the weight to sit centrally and not pull the shoulders up. I agree that I think the whole unit will lift on an off and that the back place is almost part of the armour - the rest sits on top and clips on. Anyway dunno if that helps but certainly I think that within this build consider a waist band to help carry the wait. It may even have a cross strap from shoulder to waits and this is maybe why the chest armour sits proud and has armour sections across the chest and waist - underneath. The trooper looks bigger built than the other TFA TK's and thats a reason I want to make this build as it'll suit me Troop on boys awesome job so far ! Also just a quick one - is there any possibility of taking ideas from Super Soaker guns with back packs - I think you guys in the states have more of these than us - but provide some thoughts and sizing ??
