  1. Sorry to bring up the paint again, but I just went through your other build thread. The Testors color is kind of hard to read, does it say Gl. Red, as in gloss red? Does that mean you just just used a gloss grey, black and a flat black for the rest of the paint's?
  2. I'd agree with you Brian if they kept those prices. Their prices are exuberantly high. You're lucky, as am I, to have gotten the armor at the first tier pricing. None of the other sellers have waits that are over a year long as far as I know. Furthermore, their customer service is horrendous. Did they notify everyone? I would've taken, "Hey there's going to be a delay with your order because we're making it better." Instead we get silence and we only knew because someone bothered to check. I emailed them about something outside of Star Wars and they took two months to respond.
  3. Those should pass. IB took about a month from the day I ordered. I'm on the east coast of the US and they ship from China so it may be quicker for you.
  4. According to the Shadow Stormtrooper CRL they have to have flat soles and U-shaped elastic sections on both sides. Both of your examples don't fit the Shadow Stormtrooper CRL
  5. Another point was trying to make with the CRLs. If we're to be uniform it should list specific paint colors, or at least several close shades.
  6. Same here, you basically got a whole kit with a completed helmet for just over what you'd pay for a completed helmet.
  7. Thanks for the info, cool that he's making red ones too
  8. Yeah, the abs and I guess the ammo pouch on the thigh has to have the rivet painted too for specialist.
  9. A few questions. I can't find your post about the sun shining through, did you spray paint your helmet only or all the armor. Or was it not spray paint? Can't remember. Could you also list the testors paint colors you used? I think there's a gray, red & 2 different blacks?
  10. Can I suggest something as a complete noob? Shouldn't all the CRLs have photos of what levels 1, 2 & 3 look like? I just got my Magma from Walt, and I want to go right for specialist, but I'm worried I'm going to mess something up as this is my very first build.
  11. Could you thread it? That way you can screw it on and off in case you ever need to break it down.
  12. Is it a pipe or a rod? If it's a pipe, then you can get a rod or a smaller pipe to put inside that pipe. If it's a rod then you'd have to drill into both sides to make them "pipes" so you can do the same thing as if it were a pipe. Kind of like a threaded door knob connecting rod.
  13. Smaller pipe or rod inside that pipe connecting the two together?
  14. I vote BS too. Everyone has been saying how surprisingly thin the TKs are. They probably couldn't reproduce that thinness or some other crap to keep their costs down. What a bunch of crock. I just bought my shoes from imperial boots in anticipation. I'll have these fantastic shoes and no armor.
  15. Just like Steve said, but remember whatever you use to strap it down, make sure it doesn't create lines in the leather.
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought there was a discussion about 3 vs 2 piece helmets. I just know FX/AM aren't allowed for specialist. Not entirely positive what those mean though.
  17. That's awesome, how do you determine what you want to be?
  18. You mean the big butt head troopers riding on the tank looking thing? I think it's somewhere between a scout and the "tank trooper". They had almost no armor on the lower extremities if I'm not mistaken.
  19. Wondering if that makes the current shadow void. Also new blasters and did anyone else catch the greenish/yellowish troopers running at the 1:11 mark?
  20. No, I need a pair of black as well, but haven't gotten around to a shoe store to get a proper measurement.
