  1. Thanks All, i have ordered the iComm and Voice Aker 1506 from TK Products, LLC. Cant wait to receive and test
  2. The dog doesnt know what to think though. HAHAHA!!! My cat was the same way. She took off booking when she saw me in the suite. lol Love the Sound system and Fans! Fantastic Look! Andy
  3. Would you happen to have a link or pic of the new one? just wondering thanks
  4. Wow you made great progress on the build! Nice!!! BTW, what color Silver did you use on the Vocodor? I like that. Andy
  5. I noticed over the weekend while testing the fit that im running into 2 issues that i have to fix before i submit pics. 1) Thigh Armor is pulling down on ab plate too much., Currently the Thigh Armor is being held with snaps under the Ab plate. Solution, im going to have to fab up a TK-Belt to hold up the thighs. Saw some folks make these for their TKs 2) Shoulder Canvas Strapping pulling towards the Shoulder Bells. Currently the Shoulder strapping is made of 2" canvas. Solution, Rob Kittell from Imperial Issue made me 2 Canvas Straps with plastic inserts. Essentially 2 Mini Belts that ill incorporate these. The Plastic inserts in these will keep the strapping from pulling. Belt is all set. Started off at Joann Fabrics and got the following Completed product. This one is a 1" belt with 2" Thigh Extensions. Im going to make a 2" belt with 2" Thigh Extensions as well to test which is better and more comfortable. New Shoulder Straps from Rob Kittell (Imperial Issue) with Plastic inserts: Rear Working on Cooling for the bucket here too. Ive got 2 x 5v fans and added a push button switch. Going to use a Anker Powercore 13000 compact charger
  6. YEHAHHHHAHHAH!!! Great job Nick!!! My man!
  7. Builds coming out very nice and Love the Magnet idea for the Calves!!! Good one for sure! Andy
  8. Hey Chris, Looking good! How did it feel to wear the armor for the first time out? I have yet to troop in mine so not sure what to prepare for Andy
  9. Do you guys work with the GMLs for the initial approval process, ie: 501st approval and TX number? i know that i have to submit pics to the local garrison. but do they reach out to you for secondary approval since its Spec Ops? or do you gents only get involved for the Specialist approval?? Andy
  10. Steven, you are a Plethora of knowledge!! I didnt even know that and im applying for a Shadow Trooper. hahah!
  11. As Promised, Full Armor Test fit from today. Some slight adjustments and then Polish, polish, polish the armor and send pics for approval Here they are:: Front Bucket off Front Bucket on Front bucket on 2 Right Side Rear Left Side Hey! Arnt you the droids that I'm looking for shot
  12. Hi Audie, Personally i would even out the cut lines on either side so that when placed together you have a even match. Youll also have the Upper and lower edges line up vs if you cut on that Red line, you have the chance that the 2 halfs will not meet up nicely.
  13. I would piggy back off this Magma build and see if Walt would do the Bells, Belt, Shins, etc in Solid Red. I dont like the Red painted over the white. I would do one like in this box. This one is not battle worn like the CRL requests. Why isnt the Imperial Shock Trooper a Spec Ops?? Hes considered an Elite Fighting Force
  14. Thanks Justin, i see some vids to watch on the icomm website directly too so will review these. http://store.voicebooster.com/icomm-imperial-communication-system as long as this one is from a 501st member then im game.
  15. Hey Tony, Just want to say thanks again as i was using your Anovos TK build guild as a reference this weekend to work on the thighs and calves.
  16. Has anyone purchased and or done the ICOMM Imperial comm system with MR1506 10 watt voicebooster from store.voicebooster.com // TK Products LLC? see the iCOMM is listed for $105.50 and the Aker VoiceBooster MR1506 is listed for $48. Wondering if this is a good price / deal and if anyone dealt with this company and if they are really 501st or someone not associated. thanks Andy
  17. ah, heheh, i guess i have a very steady hand. i can free hand a straight line and or follow a contour with no tape required. For sanding, i use a small 1.5x3.5" block made from Azex and wrap sand paper around that. I found that using a powered sanding device often burns the edge instead of smoothing it out. But thats my 2 cents. lol Andy
  18. Fantastic Build and Great luck to you Nick!!! Love the Cookie Monster and IPA pics. LOL! Andy
  19. Fun fun! For trimming I found that I could use a very sharp #11 Exacto knife and with a very steady hand just freehand and score the armor once around return edges then they snap quite easily creating a quite clean edge. finally with a small bit of sanding got a perfect edge. Speeds up the process and hope this helps. Andy
  20. Walts got red? or looking to get enough peeps to put one in?
  21. I did the AFX and worked out quite well. I bought it at a local DirtBike shop. Then shaped it down to fit with a Dremel. came out well. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d31/Sandman01/501st%20TX%20Shadow/IMG_3238.jpg
  22. I also had mine glued down with e6000 but was able to safely remove mine last night and correct without damage. just remove it slowly.
  23. And the remove the return edge off that 4 button ab plate on the right. Kylorich helped me out and im correcting mine now but should be flat and about 20mm x 75mm long. BTW, Love the Walts TeeShirt!! Andy
