  1. Ok, so here is the base text I plan to work from, I will lean heavily on existing CRLs for the proposal. Ok so two things Id like to point out Snap on the leather belt===maybe it there and Im just seeing it? Im not against it and perhaps its just hidden under a belt box? Which term shall we use for the side skirt armor? Kama, or Tasset? Kama is a Star Wars tradition, Tassets are a hanging thigh armor. Im not stuck on either one. Change log 1.0 Overbelt The belt is constructed from a black white, non-textured leather or a leather-like material. Approximately 2 inches (50.8 mm) in width, up to 2.5 inches (63.5 mm) is acceptable. There are no loops on the belt. The belt has grooves set back 1/8" (2.65mm) from the edges running the length of the belt. A single silver large snap or rivet is visible approximately 1" (25.4 mm) from the buckle It is preferred to wear the snap to the left of the wearer, unless emulating a specific licensed character. The buckle is constructed from a horizontally brushed metal, or metal looking material. The buckle size is approximately 2 â…›" (66.7 mm) high and 4 â…›" (104.5 mm) wide with 0.5" (12.7 mm) radius rounded corners. Buckle is adorned with an un-notched Imperial Code Disk with no grooves at the center. The belt may be worn with the snap to the right or left of the buckle. Two gunmetal grey Rogue One style belt boxes are worn on either side of the buckle. A pill shaped indent in the top of the belt box is permitted. Please refer to the Imperial Buckle reference page for information on accurate and inaccurate style buckles. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Belt is made of leather. Snap is worn to the left of the wearer, unless a specific licensed character is emulated. Buckle has a slight horizontal curve. Belt is smooth with no grooves or extra embellishments on the belt strap. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): Belt has undyed raw leather edges. Belt is lightly stained/ weathered. Underbelt The underbelt consists of a heavy, grooved rubber strap similar to floor runner. The grooves run vertically. The belt is approximately 2" (50mm) wide with grooves approximately 1/16"-1/8" wide. The belt features five boxes. The boxes appear to be split horizontally, and appear to be inset into a base slightly larger than the box. 1 longer drop box on the right side of the belt. The lower section of the box is seperated and may be hinged. 4 rectangular boxes worn at the center of the belt. Boxes shall be painted white and should be weathered. Belt shall be worn loosely across lower abdomen. Two flexible hip tassets hang from the sides of the belt mounted to the inside of the belt. The tassets are leather or smooth vinyl. Vinyl with a embossed pattern is incorrect. The tasset covers the sides of the wearers' thighs, starting near the front of the leg and ending near the wearers bottom. A seam is visible along the edges of the tasset. 2 angled stitched lines form a loose V shape on the tasset. The underbelt terminates at the wearers back under a white trapezoid shaped box. The box has a face plate the same shape, but smaller with a white imperial code disc without grooves or notch. The trapezoid shaped box at the back of the belt is weathered to match the rest of the belt boxes.
  2. per the CRL we hammerd out in 2018 *was it THAT LONG AGO????* its overlaid with light grey. I would apply it very thinly, as a "filter" to optically change the color like grime changes the color underneath a base paint. And of course, test, test , test, test on scrap. Below I posted the L2 requirement from the CRL Green color is similar in shade to Pantone350U overlaid with Pantone 433U.
  3. we need to swing back around to it. Been busy with the Tactical Agent and Del rewrites.
  4. ok so another update as I push towards completion. we have a Hask and an approved Iden, Hask is under GML review, so Ill finish the trio. My suit just needs the patches added. shoulder bridges need to be trimmed and make the side plates / gap fillers for the front and back armor My Jim Tripon vest is wonderful, and today I added the 3d printed greeblies to the straps. I covered wood blocks with heavy black canvas and added the plastic strips to the front. I reinforced my overbelt snaps where I had an issue last week during my suit up. That is fixed. I still need to put velcro on my drop pouch straps so they will hang from my tac vest strap. I need to finish up my drop box. i think its riding a little high, and I can drop the straps inside the box. Ill double up on Velcro in there to let me adjust it, and put a srew on backplate on the back of the box to comply with the CRL. I think I have just a few hours of work left to be ready to submit. Question for the dels- how do you attach your thermal? We did the classic zip tie loop last week. Eh. Not great.
  5. Thatnks so mcuh Daniel thats literally the point Im at with my own build. Ill be updating my own thread this weekend as I get things sorted. Looking for approval this week.
  6. i have updated the finalized text topic. Its late, my eyes are very tired, and i just want to put this here to get our discussion of the upper and lower belts started. Upper Belt Lower Belt
  7. real nice color match on that left breast patch. Its fairly late tonight and my brain and eyes dont catch details well this time of nigth id like to pick this up tomorrow and work on the edited proosal for the medic version to present to the LMO
  8. i have Cals bubbles and they dont even have the mesh inside and you can barely see out of them. The helmet came with gary howes flat lenses with the mesh applied and can see OK with that.
  9. today i did my first suit up and learned a few things the armor and the snaps i mounted to the armor are pushed clean off by the rubber bridges. So I need to get the snaps off and put heavy duty velcro on. I need to cut my rubber straps down to a shorter length I got the tactical vest all set up and its nice and tight, so thats a good thing my leather belt came completely off the snaps i had mounted to itto secure it to the hard overbelt, so I need to rethink all that. That didnt work out at all the commpad window really isnt sized right for my commpad, so thats something i need to rework.
  10. are we satisffied with the proposal above? id like to move on.
  11. i can make that change. Sorry, had a busy weekend and didnt get back to this. I can update the finalied text with Daniels proposal.
  12. neve heard of them but ive developed a lot of resource lists over the last 15 years. LEGION APPROVED is my trigger. The material looks thin, not that is wrong, it just looks thin. the shape of the cod is giviing me serious pause when compared to the long-published CRL. Just taking a look at some of the other stuff coming out of the shop, some of it is clearly wrong. you may have to be the guenie pig and try it. I certainly have in the past.
  13. Hi Tom , yes, please do. That we we are all one big, happy Emperium. Kevin, now I can UNSEE it. I think I got the vendors last pair of gloves. A reall shame. Want to start glove production???? Handl plate and glove change log 1.1 Hand Plates Hand plates are mirrored and symmetrical. Roughly pentagonal in shape, the hand plates are mounted securely over the back of the glove. ANH style hand plates are not acceptable. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The front of the handplate features a recessed slot the width of the raised detail. Gloves The base material of the gloves will be a black synthetic material similar to Lycra, Spandex, Elastane, or Nylon. The fingers are enclosed, non-textured. Palms of gloves shall be shiny black fabric or leather or leather-like material. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Gloves shall have the correct leather pattern along the fingers/palm.
  14. I just got my vest from Jim Triipon, its his prototype new style like yours, made of heavy canvas. It also has the dropped pouches, leather, etc. Its a departure from how he used to make them and he had to send it back to his crafter a couple of times to get it right. I had him add the vertical stitches, which I feel can be an L2 item. For edification and transparency here is The original topic disucsion. There were a LOT of PMs going on between myself Anton and Maxime. They had quite the argument over the vest material and both were very stronly opinionated on its makeup. I knew absolutely noting of the character at the time, so I was going by what they were sorting out when I wrote it. Our current verbiage allows heavy canvas , here is the finished text.
  15. Ill pm you Matt, I want to keep this topic on track. We will develop a vendor list. Theres only a couple I know of .
