  1. Let stay on track troopers, lets not get off in the weeds again. Options are Options, we are focused on the core of the costume first. If anyone wants to try to clean up my pathetic attemp to describe the forearms, please do. We cannot move forward until we get a full, complete, accurate description of the forearms. Regarding the tan/ beige, would the saharah beige used on the Shoretroopers be appropriate here? Change Log Version 1.1 Forearms Forearms are present on both arms and consist of flat angled plates with facets joined at an angle at the outermost part of the arm. Forearms are not symmetrical. The ower angled plates of the left forearm are shorter than the right forearm. A commpad featuring varous depresssions and shapes is mounted to the left forearm. There are four colored depressions on the commpad block near the ebow. There are two tan or beige straps on each forearm. Part of the strap is molded and resembles the shin straps. The remainder of the strap is white cotton webbing and closes with a whlte side release buckle. A white torch may be present on the left forearm. when we get to the torch/ penlight, these look like options? This will be discussed in the Options section later on https://www.amazon.com/Steelman-95863-2AA-LED-Light/dp/B00KYF9TUI?th=1 https://lumintop.com/product/iyp25/
  2. Ok, so no further dicsussions, i think we can lock and move on. Next will be the forearms, and Im goign to take a stab in the dark at these. This will be a very rough outline Forearms Forearms are present on both arms and consiste of flat plates with facets joined at an angle at the outermost part of the arm. Forearms are not symmetrical. The lowe angles of the left forearm are shorter than the right forearm. A commpad featuring varous depresssions and shapes is mounted to the left forearm. There are two straps on each forearm. Part of the strap is molded and resembles the shin straps. The remainder of the strap is white webbing and closes with a whlte side release buckle. A white torch may be present on the left forearm.
  3. ok so ljets just make it simple: Over Belt The Over Belt consists of 5 gloss black boxes made of ABS or similar plastic, mounted to a leather or leather like waist strap which closes under the thermal detonator. The waist strap is approximately 1"-1.5" (25mm-40mm) wide. The over belt is worn around the under belt, so that the top third of the under belt shows above the over-belt. There are special-shaped boxes on left and right of the 3 central boxes which are horizontal in position as seen in reference photos. A total of 8 rivets are present with 2 rivets mounted vertically on the left and right at the edge of the special-shaped boxes. Hanging from the right side of the belt is a hip box made out of hard material. This is connected to the belt by 1.5" (40mm) wide black leather or leather-like straps. The strap is and as long as necessary to allow the box to hang on the wearers right hip. For basic L1 approval a standard Scout style hip box may be approved. The strap is attached to the front of the over-belt through a slot on the right side of the central box. The back end of the strap goes behind the under-belt, to the left side of the thermal detonator. The hip box strap has 1.5" (40mm) quick release buckles on the front and back. Each buckle is attached at the mid point of the strap. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The rigid front portion of the outer belt is made referencing the game's 3D model and scaled to the wearer. The box is smaller than a typical scout box, is curved, the back is closed with a back plate, and features a rectangular depression near the bottom out facing side of the box. The boxes may be lightly stained or weathered. Silver is not permitted.
  4. le sigggh....a week later. My life gets absolutely insane. 30 hour work days are all too common. The other day I home 43 minutes before I got called right back out for antoher 12 hours. back to our subject at hand: Movign forward with this, and with no input, I propose this as Change Log 1.2 Shoulder Armor The shoulders are considered effectively symmetrical; they may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders.Velcro is permitted to keep the shoulder armor in place. Shoulder armor is held up with a strap mounted under the shoulder bridge. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): There is no elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep. Change Log 1.1 Bicep Armor Biceps are a split design, joined in the front. A gap may be present at the back. There is a left and a right side. They are not interchangeable. Bicep cover strips are raised and beveled with an added strip layer on top. Biceps may be held to the shoulder armor with black elastic. Biceps are painted to match the armor.
  5. looking at the bottom of the MP40 I know what the disk is and it totally escapes me right now but Ive run across those in the past. Its a found part. Not quite a poker chip, its acutally a part for something.
  6. Pual thanks so much for getting that done. Yeah the sigil is just another SVG file and the embroidery machine doesnt know it from any other shape. My wife has a ten needle Ricomah and it will do all this, it just takes the digitiization of the image you want, in this case the Medic Corps sigil and the aurbesh text which is a TT font that can be loaded as a SVG. I llove the drop on the saw pouch I guess our next step is a full set of CRL proposal photos, and I would at least temporarily mount both of the tapes to the uniform with spray bond adhesive like a heavy basting spray. I imagie the blue and the tape are what the USAF used to use on BDUs when I was in.
  7. thanks Kevin thats comprehensive and very helpful. Im going to write it to permit the strap at L1. For the black stripe, ill add that too as an option, and the way we write it, it may go into the optional items along with blasters. When we work our way down to the shin armor, i will circle back to this and quote it . Change Log 1.1 change log 1.1 Shoulder Armor One on each shoulder The shoulders are considered effectively symmetrical; they may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders. and may have a black elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep. Webbing or velcro is permitted to keep the shoulder armor in place. Shoulder armor is may be held up with a strap mounted under the shoulder bridge. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): There is no swoop on the shoulder bell raised area. There is no elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep. Change Log 1.1 Bicep Armor Biceps are a split design, joined in the front. A slim gap may be present at the back. of the bicep. There is a left and a right side. They are not interchangeable. Bicep cover strips are raised and beveled with an added strip layer on top. Biceps may be held to the shoulder armor with black elastic. Biceps are painted to match the armor. and helmet.
  8. Looks like a Uncle Mike sling assembly, but otherwise this is just simply brillyunt!
  9. wondering what both of these are the bung in the magwell looks like a caged service light assembly I see in the back of the aircraft i work on, they are like miniaure versions of those fancy lights you see for decks at home depot. Curious about the disc.....
  10. if we allow for scaling that will partiall solve or at least partially alleviate the issue Nichole is having with vertical spacing on the components.
  11. any updates or discussion on this? Id like to clear and lock.
  12. any commentary or input ? if not we will package this up and move on.
  13. oh ok, yeah basicilly we have not got to it yet. Once Staff is ready to adress it we will start a new topic.
  14. Shoulder and Bicep proposed text with changes noted in red srikethrough, green and amber alteration change log 1.0 Shoulder Armor One on each shoulder The shoulders are considered effectively symmetrical; they may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders. and may have a black elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep. webbing or velcro is permitted to keep the shoulder armor in place. 15. thnaks Kevin good luck at SDCC my eyes are getting older and relying entirely on screen grabs I never noted the difference in the hose connectors. @Tal Skirata referencing the images it looks like Gharian and Heert both have 2 inch black velcro holding front to back, thas also how my Jim Tripon armor came. So this is not velcro holding the front to the back? we have an eleastic web going up to the front from the back? what holds the front in place to keep it from flopping?
