Help On 2 Shoulder Straps

Hello Fellows Troopers I Need Your Help

 

My 2 shoulder straps on my chest plate to back plate are broken in 5 or 6 places .

 

Has anybody got a good contact for new ones

I've got 3 ideas: ... There is a post on this board for Latex shoulder straps (re-directs to the JRS Forum). Might be the best way to go as they won't break.. You can also ask around the FISD and buy some white ones and paint them up, and finally go back to your maker (or an HIPS maker) and see if there are any extras (white or black) around and paint if needed.

Yes i got hold of him last night and paid for pair of straps i will give you a heads up soon as

If I am remembering correctly the latex ones dont come out as shiny as your typical black armor. Might have to treat or paint them. Not sure, haven't got a pair myself, but I remember reading that they were flat black.

You'll need something more like tire shine. As far as connecting them, you'll probably want to try velcro first. I could see the rivets pulling through the rubber.

Ya, even if the rivets hold at first, I would assume the holes would begin to expand as you tugged and pulled at it.
