New Helmet?

Hey guys! So I recently just finished constructing my AM helmet, it looks alright, with a few teensy errors...but I've heard a lot about them being too big for a normal set, I'm about 5'11 and 163 lbs and it seems to look ok, but I feel like I'd do better with another bucket, any ideas on where to get a new TX bucket? Looks really nice, are they comfy? My AM Helmet is sort of wobbly and its only held by the headband inside.

You can order It with padding. The padding is really nice and I prefer it to helmet liners.

They aren't pre-built. Once you order it you have to wait for him to make it. This will take a month or so.

I also own one of those and I am quite happy with it. My only, very minor complete, is the shrink wrap used to protect the bucket was a pain to get off around the ear caps.

I second this, I had to take my ear caps off to remove it entirely. Apparently they were put on over the wrap so there was a bunch underneath them.

Me too. I really did want to so I tried to work my way around it, but eventually just had to remove the ear caps.

Is the shrink wrap necessary to protect the bucket? It will be great if Chris sees this thread.

It was packed fairly well, however I think it protects it while he is building it. That way it isn't accidentally scratched by a tool or something, it is panted HIPS so novus won't work on it.

You will be very happy with it. I reinforced the aerator spots, but that was about it.

I've heard the padding takes up a good amount of space...but I'm sure there's still room to have a small mic around my head if I were to use an icomm amp for voice right?

I have a 24" head and I have padding inside mine and a mic no problem. However, the fans I put it make it a little tight getting on and off.

Thats fine, I'd rather it be tighter with a little less cranium than the AM helmet, that way the bottom of the helm won't obstruct me from bending my head!

That actually still happens to me because I have no neck! If I wear a pauldron the helmet is leaning on it and I can't look up or down lol.

Hah! Well I guess its bound to happen to us no matter what...I'm sure I'd have the same issue if I ended up wearing a pauldron.
