Griffin-X[501st]
A fellow Legion member is my POC with the seller, so I am not sure if it's a kit or not. I am going to assume that it is. I am going to contact SC and see how long it would delay my helmet if I added the armor onto the order. But I am still up in the air about both. Cool. The only issues with KS armor is the in-accuracy of the parts (hang boxes are way too big, greeblies are wrong, decals are wrong, shoulders are wrong, etc.). I'm 6"2, about 175lbs and the armor is designed for a skinny taller trooper (like 6" plus). The SC armor, although more accurate, has all the right shapes and parts, greeblies, etc. to get you going. I do know that SC has a black scout armor kit just waiting for someone to buy it. The kit was pulled about 3 weeks ago... Link to comment
neoakaj[TX]
I sent the payment for the rest today. Hopefully he still has that extra kit, if not, sounds like he will have a quick turn around on the rest Thanks Jim and the rest of the Spec Ops! Link to comment

neoakaj[TX]
Sounds like I didn't get to snag that kit he had done. But he will get it started tomorrow. Hopefully have it soon. I do know my helmet is finished from him Link to comment
neoakaj[TX]
Started on my bund today. Got everything cut out and ready to sew. Question, I do not have my chest armor yet, but how far up should the bund go? Question 2, do I need to sew the main part of the bund to not show stich lines, other than the ribs? Link to comment
Chef[501st]
Generally you want the bund to come to about 2" below your armpit. I normally measure right from the crook of your armpit to your belt line, then use this as your fabric measure. When you stitch and fold the fabric, you tend to loose an inch on either side, making the bund nicely 2" shorter than that line. Perfect. Yes, you'll want to keep the stitching as neatly tucked away as possible. I make the main part, then turn it inside out. Fill it with padding, then sew the ribs. Then I put on the bottom part. neoakaj[TX]
Alrighty, I received some stickers today for the helmet. With it I also got some reflective lens material. I am now wondering how I would attach the lens material to the lens itself when I receive it from SC. Any suggestions? I am trying to stay away from doing a green or black lens, as the other shadow scouts in my garrison have green, and I want to stand out When I do my Weir helmet, I may go with the reflective red for that as well Link to comment
neoakaj[TX]
Still no word on my armor being shipped, but thanks to Griffin-X I have a helmet that will be here tomorrow!! Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen Link to comment
Griffin-X[501st]
I hope you get some great troops in with it! For the lens, I used the SC lens clips and then used hot glue to hold it in place. You can easily remove the lens, add the reflective material, then slip the lens back into place. Once you are happy, a couple of dabs of hot glue and you're all set. Link to comment

I have the silver reflective that will most likely go into this one. Good to know how it was put together. Cant wait to get home and see a box waiting! Link to comment

Griffin-X[501st]
Looks great on you...! I like your boots too! Link to comment
neoakaj[TX]
Here are some close ups of the finished boots. Never mind the polish on them. Its pledge that I use to restore the oils into the vinyl after they have been heated and stretched so much I think that they will even stand upright with the holster and pistol. I shall see Link to comment

neoakaj[TX]
Ordered some polish and sourcing out a holdout blaster. Once the kit is here and put together, I am submitting for approval. By the end of September(I hope) there will be a new legion member and the SpecOps are to blame On that note, I should be able to be approved without the holdout blaster correct? I want to order a DuKu one, but want to wait to make sure I can get my TX number on it. I have picked out a few numbers that I would shoot for, but not sure if they will be around when I submit. Griffin-X[501st]
Yep, you do not need the blaster for general clearance. Duff's blaster is really nice too. Link to comment
