My suit's glossy isn't it? The only time matte will be probably be required is for the Specialist requirements when we get those nailed down (specifically Game/Art Specialist path). But we haven't really discussed that far yet, we've been concentrating on the base CRL for now. :D

Actually the CRL allows for either gloss black or matte as it is currently written.

Wow, just re-read what I wrote and that didn't quite come out like I was thinking (woot for being tired!!) Like Toddo, said gloss or matte is fine! :) And no chrome, just dull silver (most silver spray paint I've used is plenty dull enough).

But we're in the future, aren't we?

It could be idealized, the graphics engine of that time wasn't capable of producing reflections. It also was in 32 bit color palate same as gta San Andreas, which is why all the red cars were pastel maroon and deep reds, the medic probably wasn't "supposed" to be "pink".

Further proof of a games inability to process correct textures is the shadowtrooper. The xbox version of tfu has chrome armor but the less detailed Wii version was matte silver and dark grey. if they remade swg with updated hd graphics, silver novas would be metallic silver/blurred chrome.

I'm just suggesting an ideal version, same for the gold nova having mirror gold alternate to the matte dark yellow that was graphically limited in its time.

But everything's chrome in the future!

And I tend to agree with Dizzy. I think that it was likely intended to be a highly reflective silver, but the game's graphics limited it to a lesser dull silver. That being said, the proof for a Nova being gold like that it it's presence in the card game, and I imagine that source must be what allowed the metallic gold in that case.
