1. Helmet (Realistic Version):

For 501st approval:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • The helmet is a modified Galactic Marine or Snow Clone cowl with a modified TK faceplate.
     
  • There are two triangle indentations pointing away from one another on the forehead.
     
  • The visor lens must be one piece, either green dark gray, and must be sufficiently dark enough to obscure the wearer's features. There is a ridge present that outlines the frown.
     
  • The frown is painted black and must have 8-10 teeth cut out.
     
  • Mesh may be used behind the frown to obscure the face of the wearer.
     
  • Vocoder (vertically ribbed chin detail) is painted black.
     
  • Aerators/Hovi mix tips (cylinders on either side of the vocoder) are black or painted black.

2. Balaclava:

  • A balaclava is a black head sock/hood that is worn under the helmet
     
  • It is used primarily to hide any view of the wearer's skin and/or facial hair.

3. Neck Seal:

For 501st approval:

  • Black with horizontal ribs
     
  • Fitted to the wearer
     
  • Extending from the base of the neck to the top of the Adam's apple.

4. Flight Suit/Undersuit:

For 501st approval:

  • The undersuit is a one or two-piece black textile suit, such as military flightsuits, motorcycle racing suits, industrial work clothing (Dickies), or similar suit modified appropriately.
     
  • Suit must not have any visible labels, logos, zippers or pockets (including built in flight suit pockets).

5. Cummerbund:

For 501st approval:

  • Black to match flight suit.
     
  • In the center of the cummerbund is a ribbed section.
     
  • The horizontal ribs must be 12â€� wide, 1â€� in height and extend from the cod plate to the chest plate.
     
  • At either side of the horizontal ribs is a vertical rib (one on each side).
     
  • These are 1" wide and go from top to bottom.

6. Shoulder Straps:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • These shall be securely mounted in front and may free float in back.
     
  • They may be affixed with rivets, Velcro, or adhesive.

7. Shoulder Bells:

For 501st approval:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • Scout Trooper-style bells are required.
     
  • Shoulders should be padded to 'float' above the shoulders.
     
  • Black Elastic is used to secure the armor around upper arm.

8. Elbow Armor:

For 501st approval:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • There are two elbow armor parts.
     
  • Both elbows have strapping. The straps should have a raised detail line at the top and bottom of the strap.
     
  • The elbow armor is identical to the Galactic Marine elbow armor.

9. Forearms:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • The forearms are TK-style angled at the tops to match shape of clone forearms.

10. Gloves:

  • Black in color, made of either rubber, nomex, leather, or leather-like material
     
  • No visible straps or logos/designs.
     
  • The fingers are enclosed, non-textured.

11. Handplates:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • ANH stunt TK hand-plates.

12. Chest Plate:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • This is a Galactic Marine chest-plate.
     
  • The chest is modified with TK abdomen button plate.
     
  • There are 4 buttons total: (2) small buttons between (2) larger ones.
     
  • To the left of the buttons is a series of 9 horizontal TK-style ridges.
     
  • White U-Shaped gasket should be present around neck, arm openings & edge of chest plate.
     
  • 1" wide grey unit stripe detail should be present around all edges of the chest plate apart from the bottom, inset ½" from the edge.

13. Back Plate:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • The back plate is a Galactic Marine plate with an indented modified Clone insert.
     
  • Insert must be grey and include detailing consistent with visual references.
     
  • White U-Shaped gasket should be present around neck, arm openings & bottom edge of back plate.

  • Back-plate insert should have up-lighters to match the visual references

14. Cod Plate:

16. Belt:

  • Two black leather MP40 style ammunition pouches are to be worn (one on left chest, one on left side hip).
     
  • One white flip Top ARC style ammunition pouch is to be worn on the right hip.
     
  • Two TK-style thermal detonators are required (One TK-style at back of belt, and one TK-style-modified on front left hip).

  • TK-style-modified front thermal detonator must be half-sized with a single control button with a modified center plate detail.

17. Thermal Detonator x2:

For 501st approval:

  • There are 2 present on this costume.
     
  • Qty-1 (a.k.a. O2 canister) attaches to the back of the belt (TK-style).
     
  • Qty-1 (a.k.a. O2 canister) attaches to the front L-hip of the belt (TK-style-modified).
     
  • This is an all gray cylinder 2 to 2.5" in diameter with white end caps.
     
  • TK-style (back) has a white control panel pad, with controls closest to the right end cap.
     
  • TK-style-modified (front) has a white control panel pad, triangular in shape, and centered on the tube.
     
  • Clips may be used to attach the thermal detonator to the belt.

18. Holster:

  • Made of black leather or leather-like material.
     
  • Holster must be worn on the right (TK-ESB style).
     
  • May be attached to the belt from behind with rivets or with loops covering the outside of the belt.

19. Ammo Pouches x2:

For 501st approval:

  • Black in color, made of canvas, leather or leather-like German MP-40 style ammo pouches.
     
  • There should be two minimum: one pouch on the left shoulder and one on the left hip.

20. Knee/Lower Leg Armor:

For 501st approval:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • TK greaves (Widely spaced with 2" cover strip at front) that close securely in the rear.
     
  • Custom knee plates are directly attached to the greaves (in a similar fashion as the TK Sniper plate).
     
  • TK-style ammo knee plates are attached to the ankle region of each greave.

21. Boots:

For 501st approval:

  • Lightly-weathered.
     
  • White leather or leather-like, above ankle height.
     
  • With a flat sole with a short heel, and small U-shaped elastic sections on both sides of the ankle.
     
  • No buckles or laces.
     
  • Jodhpur/Chelsea-type boots or an equivalent style are acceptable.
     
  • Elvis or Mariachi boots are not allowed.
     
  • ANH style semi-gloss or matte in finish.

Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present must meet the guidelines below.

 

1. BlasTech E-11:

For 501st approval:

  • Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster.
     
  • Laser guided Sniper Rifle consistent with visual references.

For level two certification (if applicable):

  • Folding stock (does not need to function).
     
  • A real or replica ammo counter - based off of a Hengstler counter - should be present.
     
  • D-ring mounted on the rear.
     
  • Correct style scope.
     
  • Two power cylinders on the magazine.
     
  • Scratch-built, resin cast, Hyperfirm rubber cast blasters should have a total of 6 t-racks on blaster (leaving the lowest row on the Hengstler side un-covered).
     
  • Popular commercially available toy Stormtrooper blasters have a total of 7 T-racks (if you cover all the rows of holes) or 6 T-racks (if you cover the "open row" of holes on the Hengstler side.
     
  • Below this, you must grind off the lower T-rack and drill a new row of holes).

2. Field Backpack:

  • A field backpack scaled-down/stylized version of a Sandtrooper pack.
     
  • Made to match visual references.
     
  • Mandatory for officer variant.

Costume Variants

Items below are optional costume variations and differences from the Realistic version. These items are not required for approval, but if present must meet the guidelines below.

 

1. Officer Variant:

For 501st approval:

  • Comms antenna on Right temple (use CC Bacara as reference).
     
  • Command pauldron (custom shape; red in color).
     
  • A third Black Leather MP40 Ammunition pouch replaces white hip pouch on the grunt.
     
  • Field Backpack (Cut down/stylised version of a Sandtrooper pack, to match visual references) – compulsory for officers.

2. Game Variant:

  • Box is oversized and travels directly into the neckline,taking up almost the entire backplate.
     
  • Animated Clone belt.
     
  • Thermal detonators are squared to match PSP screengrabs.
     
  • Animated ARC Trooper flip-top pouch sized custom Leather MP-40 style pouches.
     
  • Custom ankle spats in style of Animated Clone belt.
