The truck bed liner is some pretty heavy stuff. It will work great if you don't mind the extra weight (shouldn't be much) and it will add some strength to hips.

Curious as to why there's a rivet in between the eyes on the white bucket though.

That's how I got it from Rt-mod. Its where the faceplate and dome top come together. I have never really given it much thought. Is that not common?

I glued mine, but I guess if the eyebrow strip is covering it, no big deal. I hadn't seen that before.

the only thing that I trimmed on the butt plate was the super long groin tab.

I ended up trimming my butt plate in some so my thigh armor quit rubbing against it....and I also cut the strip off ...for obvious reasons.

I would like to completely redo the inside of the lid before I take it out in public, but knowing me I will suit up the first chance I get once I get new padding inside.

 

Now I really need to get my butt moving and get some power cells for my blaster! That's all that is really left to do....
