Calling all Shadow Stormtrooper builders!

Recommended Posts

Hello Spec Ops builders.

I am looking to try and keep most of our armor information sources in house. I looking for a volunteer or two that would be interested in creating a how to video on building their Shadow Stormtrooper armor correctly as well as offering a helmet build video?

Basically the video would be a step by step on how to accurately put the armor together. See Trooper Bay "how to video" for reference on making the a good video:

http://trooperbay.com/videos/

If you are interested please reply to this thread. As you know the armor tips and tricks section has begun getting an overhaul just one of the many things that we are looking to improve for our Spec Ops members!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you

D

I was thinking of making a video or a few when I put together another kit, but the snag that we would run into is that people have a few different options when it comes to building armor. Izzi is one example. He uses mostly Velcro on his kit whereas I use mostly snaps on mine.

As a very very newbie building armor, I think that's not really a big deal!

Any tutorial with visuals it's an amazing help good star when you have no clue what to do!!!!!

Videos or step by step pictures are how I was able to put my tk together.

I did know that the snaps x Velcro was a personal preference, as well as strapping system, etc etc but having the visuals made it so much easier to make my decision on what to use on mine.

So yeah! I am in total favor for you experts to make tutorial videos!!!!! :) yes please!!!

As another waiting on Anovos if you haven't checked out Ukswrath's build over on the 501st site you should. It is an amazing step by step build for Centurion level approval of the Anovos classic kit. I am in the process of building my classic Anovos kit while I wait for my shadow kit.

So far for the price I am very happy with Anovos.

Hello everybody. My name is Kalashnikov. Or at least that's what you can call me. I'm hoping to join your detachment and become a Shadow Storm Trooper. I'm expecting my Shadow Stormtrooper kit to arrive from Anovos any day. I'm wondering if the Anovos kit is authentic enough to be 501st approved. If not, I don't want to waste my time, and find another direction.

Can anyone help me? Is the Anovis kit authentic enough for approval?

Hey Mel, If it's anything like the OT TK it should be fine for basic. I'm not sure how the elite feel about the flimsy Anovos belt, which in my opinion should be replaced at any level over basic, though it's still accepted at TK EIB. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than I can chime in on that subject.

I just ordered my Shadow Trooper (Blackhole Trooper) from Walt's Trooper Factory. The reason I purchased from him is I have an 8 year old Son who is primmed and ready for me to build him one as well. I had planned on making a photo diary of my build already as I have accumulated approximately 90 pages of build notes already from your forum as well as FISD and the Carolina Garrison. I have also offered up my companies warehouse for a build party. Perhaps I can set up a few cameras around and different work stations and video different people's style of bulding. However, I was looking for some direction in the Specialists Program within the Spec Ops Community. I understand you don't have an (EIB) or (Centurion) level build within Spec Ops. I just need some direction on where to obtain this information so I can build the best possible quality Shadow Trooper/Blachole Trooper Armor. I was also wondering about weapons of choice for Shadow Troopers. I have had my eyes pealed for a DLT-19 and I just havent found a builder which I am convenced has the quality I am looking for. I cannot afford to purchase a decommissioned MG-34 nor do I plan on carrying around a 19 lb. weapon for a Troop.

Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated...

I actually got a WTF shadow from a garrison member. You'll need the TD clips and a belt as well. Both can be found through various sources, like the FISD commissary. I'm almost done and realized I needed the clips.
