The gold looks great. That's not a bad scratch-built radio pack either.

dear friends,

today i finished my backpack..... ok, i´ve forgot to fix the small plate on the tube on the right... but this will be done easy.

Here´s the result:

i hope you like it !!!! (and the backpack is not that small like it seams in the pic.... it´s worn by my girlfriend, a "lifesize" jawa ) :D:):D

the next days i´ll get the chance to get pics of the whole armor .....

Overall this is close Phillip. I do think your pack is oversized, even on you. It protrudes too far back. That might be altered by changing your mounting system to bring it closer to your body. The thing that needs the most re-working is the width of the pack. It is just too wide for your frame. Also, as much as I like the cog logo on the bottom of your det tube, it isn't accurate.

The other thing that would hold-up approval would be the ammo pouch. It appears too centered on your chest. It should be more to your left.

@toddo:

yes, after watching the pics i decided to attach the ammo box more on the left. it isn´t any more in the middle.

at the bottom of the backpack i mounted a strap from left to right, not to get the backpack scratching of the color of the armor at the butt. :D

i guess a little bit to "strong"....

perhaps i´ll get an other idea to avoid this. i´ll think about it :0Lighten:

the measurements of the backpack are these of a TD backpack.. i took them from the backpack of a friend.

it was hart enough to find some boxes for the basement ....

greetings and thanks for the comments

What I have done is attach the soft side of Velcro to the part of my pack frame that touches my armor. That prevents scratching.

i guess i can stop thinking about a solution.... that´s a great idea !!!

a friend of mine gave these "rubber floor plates".... used in the industry.

one of these solutions will work.

but know i can go on.

pics will come soon, next weekend there´s an event i´m going to wear my TX the first time.

so stay tuned !!!

again thanks and greetings

hi my friends,

after sending the pics to my GMO for approval i was told "the backpack is to big for you" !!! :huh:

So i decided to start a new one.....

this is the first pic of the new one, the baseframe is the same as the old one but the boxes are 7cm less in the width and 5cm in the hight as before.

Now i guess it will get the right measurements for me.

any advices or opinions about the new one and my "plans" :D:)

please feel free to tell my all you´re thinkng of ....

thanks !!!

Phillip, that looks perfect. I know it's a pain, but you won't regret re-sizing.

i´m happy the measeurments are all right know.

the paper-boxes are just to check the fitting of the new size.

they will be replaced by some abs-ones.

@toddo:

yes, the work starts again... but the more you build, the better it gets !!!

:thumbsup:

Looks like you used the same backpack frame I did. It may help if you bring it a bit higher on your back. I have the bottom of the frame rest on my belt. Also I attached the ammo pouch to the backpack strap on the the left shoulder. Here are some photos to show you what I mean.
