Cummerbund advice

So as I said in my intro thread, I would like to make your guys' soft parts. One thing I notice you and the Biker Scouts share in common in the cummerbund. For any of you who have made one, can you offer any advice on making it so I can make you guys some quality pieces? On the surface, it looks similar to the Biker Scout one, only in black and with different pouches. Also, I've not done pieces with a cod...any advice to make that easier? (I did see the 'no cameltoe' thread, so I'm at least ahead in that respect.)
