Looking at Options want to shoot for Blackhole/Shadow Stormtrooper Specialist

Recommended Posts

Hello troopers,

Im now in the market to get a TX Kit and build with a goal of Blackhole/Shadow Stormtrooper Specialist. I know there are a few great builders out there but the wait lists are nuts. Im currently on ATA's list but have also been exploring other options out there.

Not sure about TKUK, anyone know the mold they are from FX ? EFX ?

I also have been talking to Walt at WTF as well..

What you all think ? Located in Canada here..

I heard TKUK is not very good. ATA is always a good choice. Walt would probably be the shortest wait and he is very responsive.

There is also AM for larger troopers. I accidentally got that armor when I got mine but I was able to make it work for my small frame. The shoulder bells came almost down to my elbows though. Lol

Im currently building a TKUK shadoe stormy kit and I have a thread going on u can have a look!! I must say its really not the best kit u can get, but U can surely make good use of it with the proper materials!! ATA and WTF are both good and they are going to need some time (shame on me cuz I was in a hurry for kit)

Darth Emphatic,

I needs some questions answered about Specialist Helmet

I. Color Combination

  • Present a single source that matches your helmet/armor color combination. Any armor not seen is presumed to be gloss black.
  • This can include combinations that match the overall scheme for your character (i.e. - lense: silver, frown: silver, mic tip: white/silver, tube stripes: black - or - lense: silver, frown: black, mic tip: black, tube stripes: black, etc.)

II. Helmet

  • Ears shall have three screws per side, one above and one below the ear bar and one at the base of the helmet.
  • Ear bars should have four bumps only, not three.
  • The drop from the Ears must also bend towards the back of the helmet, instead of vertically.
  • Traps/tears and tube stripes shall have the correct ANH TK details.
  • Correct 'Hovi mic' aerator tips.
  • FX/AM helmets are not allowed.
  • Neck trim shall be of an s-type profile rather than a u-type profile.

On the Color Combinations for the helmet: Can I choose any color combination, or do I need to conform to the standards you have listed above?

There has to be an official source for the color combination you want to use, which means licensed by Lucas. That can be a comic, a statue, or, soon coming, film. Action figures are notoriously inaccurate and not used without other supporting references. Your safest bet is all silver or all black. Silver chin, teeth and, lense. Or black chin, teeth, and lenses.

I have a wtf tx kit n love it n walts extremely good to deal with

Absolutely he is, i have his bucket, but finding something that fits is a different story, 36-38 inch waist and a 49.5 inch chest.. WTF is way too small.. AM2.0 is about my only potion right now. unfortunately i have new priorities that have stopped the acquisition of armor :-(
