Hi Guys,

I have a question/request for the approveable Weaponry

Why is only the E-11 and the DLT-19 an approveable weapon?

I know the general consent is that there have to be references. BUT we are Special Ops. And Special Ops tend to have slightly different rules when it comes to equipment.

In this case I am not asking for any changes in Armor but to check if guns like the Z6 Rotary, T21, DLT19X could be made acceptable. As long as they are used within the empire during our time period or before (where i can be rationally explained that they are still in use)

Of course maybe this would go for more then these guns but maybe they can be individually evaluated.

 

Just for the reason of me asking:

In my case I am a Big Guy and I would love a T21 or a Z6 or even a rocket launcher. E11 looks like a pistol in my hands. DLT-19 will be added but from the optics i like the others more.

I see what you mean and I am going to try to answer this one since I am, I believe, the only shadow that doesn't follow CRL on this. The CRL was written with what we know for sure what they had in three references. This being the games, the books, art, or the comics. This excludes Battlefront for the time being until someone writes a CRL for that specific version of shadow stormtrooper. If you look at the differences, there are a few between them. The blue tube stripes and the white cog on the Brest plate are the first things that stand out.

 

To my knowledge, a CRL was being worked on for the character, but I don't know fully if it has been finished or submitted. I was approved in mine with the standard E-11 and then afterwards, started to carry around a DLT-19 for parades and such. I now carry around a RT-97C with me for conventions and parades. I do not carry it with me for LFL troops because it is not what is in the CRL.

Adding on to what I already said, you can check with the event coordinator what is ok to have. I know that I can't have my BFG at certain events. There are even events where there are no weapons(blasters) allowed. I always just check if I can bring mine or not before hand.

but that is not my main goal. I really would like to have a wider choice of weapons and still be without a doubt within the rules.

 

Of course I can check with the coordinator, but thats not the thing i was hoping for.

Chris, I think your question was answered. Currently the only "official trooping" weapons are listed in the CRL. If you go to a non-official event you can carry whatever you want. Until someone petitions/works on (this could be you) a change to the CRL with the required 3 references the current CRL applies. I get what you are saying about Spec Ops and various weapons, but when we troop "Official" events we must represent what the general public sees in movies, books, comics etc., the CRL was built based upon what was published at the time. Like it was mentioned earlier Battlefront 2 may provide more weapons for Shadow Troopers to use, but until the references are made and the CRL updated we are stuck with what we have.

Any type of weapons are considered optional under the CRL's due to various laws regarding those type of things in various countries. So its considered an optional accessory and really doesn't require formal approval. However refer to the CRL as a guideline of how it should look here if you plan on having one:
