Rogue One Death Trooper Research/Build Thread

Recommended Posts

So I went online and ordered a set myself and was denied. I tried twice more and the message was to contact my issuing card provider.

Upon doing that they mentioned the card was trying to be ran out of China.

So I check again on the site and according to Web resources, domain is in Russia but billing out of China but advertising in UK.

I'm so so tempted to get a pair. More research is in order

It let you paypal? You'll be covered through that so no worries.

I couldn't obtain a paypal option so I held off. Guess it's not meant to be for me, the hunt continues.

Greg never fear, let's remain positive and hopefully they'll come and you'll have level 2. :)

For the record, there was no PayPal option, but I have a PayPal debit card so I used that. What's concerning is I've received a payment confirmation, but no order confirmation. I sent a message to the site requesting order confirmation. We'll see what happens.

Ouch Greg! Sorry man. Wish it would have worked out.

Does anyone think this would be approvable for a base boot? Obviously there is a need for some mods.

I don't think the would for 3 reasons Scott:

1) The sole pattern isn't uniform in height with the ribs, and the toe end has a different pattern all together.

2) The visible stitching, and where it occurs on the sole

3) The sidewall of the shoe doesn't come up to the toe end. It goes back towards the heel.

Loads of pics just hit for sideshows DT Specialist figure.

The vest consists of 3 "grenades" in the front and what appears to be 6 "ammo magazines" each in an individual pouch, 4 of which have hard covers an the other 2 are merely the soft pouches.

Fear not. Once the flick debuts, everyone will be enamored with the DT.

I am a little bummed that so much attention is being put on the ST and the DTs seem to have been put on the back burner!

Well if you look outside this website it's definitely not on the back burner. I think we have 4 builders + working diligently on their versions. The DT is a very complex costume, IMHO one of the most complex TK versions to date. Getting all the details correct is going to take some time, being entirely black doesn't make the task any easier. The FOTK isn't as complex as this and it's been out for a year, and we're still at basic CRL. This will definitely take some time and if it has a big roll in the movie (unlike Captian Phasma) it will be one bad a$$ costume I think most will want to add to their collection.

It will only be a matter of time....... time before the Death Trooper is as famous as the Sand Trooper....... but for now, we must let the wheels - the wheels of the Special Ops Detachment, turn.....
